FAITH MATTERS: CAN CHRISTIANS BE LIBERALS?

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.  
MATTHEW 28:19-20




Can Christians be liberal? No! Eloheem is not liberal nor is Yeshua Hamashiach, nor is Ruach HaKodesh (God, Lord Messiah, Holy Spirit). The flood, the tower of babel, and Sodom and Gamorrah are examples of how un-liberal God is. The commandments reveal what He expects from those who plan to spend eternity with Him.

JAMES 1:5-8
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.  

I do not know a Christian with liberal ideology who is consistent with what they believe. Many Christians affiliate with the Democrat party, it has become very liberal.  The Democrat party supports: abortion, homosexuality, same sex unions, teaching children about sexuality including trans-genderism and more anti-biblical lifestyles. The Christian Democrats I know do not support these ideas yet they consistently vote for liberal Democrats and condemn Conservatives; this what it means to be double- minded. When your words do not agree with your actions it is because you are inconsistent in your beliefs due to dual- thinking, double-mindedness.

In order to support liberalism you must ignore the Word of God.  Every follower of Yeshua Hamashiach, Jesus the Messiah, should be Conservative.

Learned men and women present what they know, what they call facts, to people who accept what is said as truth. Many of these highly educated, impressively entitled individuals manipulate God’s words, or discount them all together, to accommodate what they declare to be an absolute truth.

ROMANS 3:3-4
For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written: “That You may be justified in Your words, and may overcome when You are judged.”

If the college professors, political and religious leaders words do not agree with Scripture they are liars.

The Apostle Paul had very impressive credentials: he came from the right family, went to the right schools, and knew the right people.  Yet, he declared the knowledge of Jesus was the most important thing to know; he considered his credentials dung (poop).

PHILIPPIANS 3:8 King James Version
Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 

Liberals, and yes moderates and some who have conservative view points put the wisdom of man above God’s word.

1 CORINTHIANS 2:2
For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

James said if you lack wisdom go to God and He will liberally give you what you need. He did not say: “turn on the news”, or “ask someone with a PhD.” If what you need to know is known by an individual; God will lead you to the person who has the knowledge.

Can a Christian be a Conservative? If your passion for politics is greater than your love of God the answer is: No! Does that mean we should all be moderate? No!

REVELATION 3:15-16
 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

Christians should be followers of Christ,  Yeshua Hamashiach. To be conservative means to not be willing to allow just any idea to influence your life choices. You are not willing to accept every doctrine, ideology or bit of data presented as if it was the final answer.

Many liberals declare they want to make sure everyone has “quality of life”.  These intellectual thinking people groups do not want to end the lives of all babies in-utero, just those the parents don’t want. They don’t want to end the lives of all elderly, just the ones in which there is a consensus that they no longer need to live. Yet they object to the condemnation of those who have committed heinous crimes, preferring that they sit in jail forever. They also object to people defending their lives with weapons. How can a Christian align themselves with such confusion?

The missing ingredient in much of today's ideology is understanding. Just because a person with impressive credentials tells you something does not make it so. Knowledge by itself is dung, God will give you the wisdom as to how to apply that knowledge or if it should be rejected altogether. It is the wisdom of God that will lead to understanding. Once you understand what liberalism is all about you will know that a Christian cannot be a liberal.

PROVERBS 4:7
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

FAITH MATTERS: DISCIPLESHIP

Today more people are becoming Muslim or atheist despite the increased number of mega-churches. There are so many Christian churches out there in the world, the earth should be filled with disciples by now; particularly since many churches have numerous leaders: Pastors, Associate Pastor, Evangelist, Bishops, Elders, Deacons, Deaconesses, Prophets, Prophetess, Popes, Apostles and other entitled individuals who oversee the people. Where are the disciples?

To disciple is to teach; a disciple is one who follows a particular teaching, Christians should be followers of the Word. Jesus instructed His leaders to go and teach those who do not know Him about Him solidifying the knowledge through baptism. Baptism is a physical testimony of an internal transformation.

Today we have people following church leaders, church doctrines, political ideology, and even personal feelings. People attend church regularly, give tithes and offering, participate in or support missions trips, and other such things while questioning the validity of the Bible.

2 TIMOTHY 3:16
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

All Scripture is all Scripture from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21.

Far to many people who consider themselves Christian do not believe the Bible is the infallible word of God. The state of man not just in America but around the world is evidence of the validity of Scripture.

HOSEA 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

Christians are perishing, they have a form of godliness but deny its’ power (2 Timothy 3:5). The indoctrination of Satanic ideology is so covert that many churches have allowed his values to influence their preaching. Why else would Christians believe that homosexuality is OK or that having abortion is a viable choice. Even eternity in heaven or hell is not a motivating factor for many who call themselves Christian because the pulpit has chosen to focus on getting blessed today.

MATTHEW 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

A disciple's priority is God first. Grace and giving tithes are the basis of many church sermons: God’s grace will get you through the hard times and give and God will give back to you. Discipleship is the presentation of God’s word as it is written not as it is interpreted. The message of grace is presented to a people group who do not have a strong understanding of God’s precepts and principles, the law.

EPHESIANS 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

The key to saving grace is Jesus. If you do not have faith in the Word (John 1:1, 14) you cannot partake of His grace. There is absolutely nothing you can do to receive from God if you do not believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9-10) What are you being saved from? An eternity in hell.

Part of being a disciple, follower of Yeshua Hamashiach, is submitting to the precepts and principles found in Scripture, many refer to them as the laws. That which Jesus the Messiah did not fulfill are still in effect.

MATTHEW 5:17-18
“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

Everyone’s walk with the Lord is different. We are unique people with different ways of seeing the world. Whatever the denomination, whatever the day you meet to worship and whatever you eat or don’t eat it is not important. What is important is who you are following.

Are you are disciple of Christ, a follower of the anointing? Or do you believe that government dictates your life choices? Faith is a personal thing, it is your responsibility to study Scripture and determine what you believe.

JOSHUA 24:15
1And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

You cannot get off the plantation unless you educate yourself; slave masters never encourage their slaves to read, nor does the Liberal Left a.k.a Democrat Party. Most loyal Democrats have a  limited knowledge of the basis of the ideology which forms any organization, which is why they are not only loyal to their political party but their church as well.

Calling someone ignorant is very offensive and puts a person on the defensive. It is, however, ignorance that aids in the continuation of Black people hating Republicans and their anger towards Black Conservatives.

I am often accused of parroting the words of non-Democrat news sources by individuals who are repeating verbatim what liberal news outlets have repeatedly said for months. I have yet to hear these individuals correct themselves once the information they have received has been proved incorrect.

I agree with Thomas Sowell: “Johnny doesn't know what thinking is; he confuses it with feeling.” Most propaganda is presented so that your emotions are riled and your brain remains dormant. A book will not tell you how to feel, it will help you think (at least good books do).

A MATTER OF FAITH: MOTHER'S DAY

I am torn today because I do not encourage my family to do anything for me on this day, Mother’s Day. All over the country and the world people honor mother’s on a particular day. What if Mother’s Day is the same days as your mother’s birthday? Does she get twice as many gifts? I would suggest, if you are going to honor your mother on a particular day every year, don’t let Hallmark determine when the day is. My day is my birthday.

MATTHEW 15:2-6
“Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.”

He answered and said to them, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? For God commanded, saying, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift to God”— then he need not honor his father or mother.’ Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.

Mother’s Day is a tradition created by man. Many people may not actively ‘curse’ their mother, though some do, but they selectively choose when they will bless them. A parent’s birthday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and maybe Christmas children do something special for their parents.

Nailed to the cross in agonizing pain Jesus honored his mother.

Nearby Yeshua’s execution stake stood his mother, his mother’s sister Miryam the wife of K’lofah, and Miryam from Magdala. When Yeshua saw his mother and the talmid whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, “Mother, this is your son.”

Jesus honored His mother at an inconvenient time. I recall when I worked in the nursing home, women who did not receive visits any other day would have a host of people visit on Mother’s Day. How sad, I think, to have only that one day in which your children actually give you any attention.

EXODUS 20:12 King James Version
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. 

Honoring your parents is not a suggestion from God, it is a commandment, for get about the promise attached. Setting one day aside in the year to acknowledge a parent does not qualify a person for a long life.

PROVERBS 30:11 New International Version
“There are those who curse their fathers and do not bless their mothers;

Honoring your parents is a daily activity. As an adult child it means taking the time to call from time to time in the midst of your busy day, visit, particularly if they are elderly, as often as possible and teaching your children to appreciate their grandparents.

Unfortunately, there is a growing perversion of motherhood that pushes the ideology that men can be mothers and women can be fathers. This secular society has reached a point in which fatherhood is cursed and mothers are not blessed (Proverbs 30:11) and showing respect to fathers and mothers is becoming optional (Exodus 30:12). What was a secular holiday to begin with is becoming a satanic ritual. (SEE VIDEO BELOW)

What would happen if Mother’s Day was on a Tuesday?????

He answered, “Indeed, why do you break the command of God by your tradition? For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother,’and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’ But you say, ‘If anyone says to his father or mother, “I have promised to give to God what I might have used to help you,” then he is rid of his duty to honor his father or mother.’ Thus by your tradition you make null and void the word of God!

My children and a few other’s will wish Happy Mother’s Day and I will graciously say “Thank you”; I will respond in kind to mothers who say Happy Mother’s Day to me. I do not expect gifts, dinner, flowers or any such thing from my family  because they bless me through out the year. Why should any mother have to wait until May to get flowers, be taken out to dinner and treated like a queen? Honor your mother and father often without consideration to man made traditions.

A MATTER OF FAITH: MY SALVATION

If you ·declare [confess] with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and if you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved. [L- For] We believe with our hearts, and so we ·are made right with God [are justified; receive righteousness]. And we ·declare [confess] with our mouths, ·and so we are saved [leading to salvation]                                                                      ROMANS 10:9-10 THE EXPANDED BIBLE

I am convinced, many people do not understand the significance of “believe in your heart”. In the minds of many they were saved when they: raised their hands in church while all heads were bowed; came to the alter and repeated a specific prayer; emailed, mailed responded to some type of written communication and said “yes I believe”; or spoke with someone at their door and said a prayer.  In their hearts many believe their salvation was guaranteed when they were baptized.  Salvation is a two part process: 1) you believe in your soul and 2) you declare what you believe not what someone told you.

When you believe in your heart you accept what is presented as truth.

Recently I was speaking with a neighbor. He had a form of faith, like many, he created in his mind a relationship with God that did not include the Bible, his wife also believes there is a God. My neighbor was offended when I declared the Bible was the infallible word of God and I believed in it 100 percent.

How can you be saved if you do not believe in Scripture? It is God’s word that reveals what we are saved from.

The book of Romans reveals the need for a Savior. Scripture, the 66 books referred to as the Bible, lays out establishment of humanity and the deeds that lead to the destruction of peace on earth. Romans 3:3-4 tells us that God is God no matter what man’s beliefs are- “let God be true but every man a liar.”

My neighbor had a problem with me putting God’s word over his opinion. Doctors have a problem with a person putting God’s word over their diagnosis. Politicians have a problem with followers of Christ putting Scripture over their words.

When you believe in your heart you really do not care what other people think.

JAMES 1:5-6

I am not saying: If you have doubt you are not saved. Many Christians are not sure about the word from time to time but we still believe and choose to err on the side of faith.

EPHESIANS 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

There are those who allow their flesh to dictate how they live. Emotions that support the flesh can convince the heart to accept certain ideas as true. Scripture refers to fleshly thinking as being carnal minded. (Romans 8:6) Scripture teaches those who follow Christ, the just, live by faith not feelings.

HEBREWS 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

I believe God’s word. Yes, I listened to the words of man. Yes, I responded to an alter call; I also responded to a radio message, a television message and a book that had a prayer at the end. Was I saved at the age of 9 when I first confessed my faith or 30 when I was baptized in the Holy Spirit. I believe I was saved when I began seeking the Lord, age 9.

The question is: Are you saved?

ROMANS 10:9-10 THE VOICE
So if you believe deep in your heart that God raised Jesus from the pit of death and if you voice your allegiance by confessing the truth that “Jesus is Lord,” then you will be saved! Belief begins in the heart and leads to a life that’s right with God; confession departs from our lips and brings eternal salvation.

“Belief begins in the heart.”  Faith is a journey which can be influenced by many. Faith is personal therefore you must control the information that is received. Not everyone who shares the gospel knows what they are talking about.

I ENCOURAGE THE READER TO RESEARCH THE WORDS I WRITE.

What does your heart tell you? Here are some of the things people have told me over the years…

• The Bible was written by man and man therefor I cannot believe in it %100.
• The Bible was written over 2,000 years ago it does not apply to today.
• The Bible was written by the White man, it is not for Black people.
• I believe the Bible but….there are numerous exceptions to what Scripture teaches including:

               Homosexuality- there are those who believe homosexuality is not a sin 
               Abortion - there are those who believe that abortion is acceptable 
               Polygamy- there are those who practice or believe polygamy is acceptable

This list reflects some of the things individuals who call themselves Christian believe in their hearts. How can you be saved if you doubt Scripture?

When a person declares “Jesus is Lord” he (or she) is saying:
God, Son of God, came to earth in the form of a man, son of man,, to restore man’s relationship with Himself. He entered the earth through the womb of Mary, a virgin. He lived under the guidance of Mary and Joseph until such time as He began to fulfill His purpose (see John 10:10). Jesus, Yeshua(Hebrew):  lived, taught, healed and delivered those who were in bondage to Satan, while teaching all who would listen. He “was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5 NIV) After being beaten with 39 stripes, forced to carry the post which He would be eventually nailed to. Yeshua carried the cross part of the way and the remainder of the trip up hill it was carried by Simon, the Cyrene, to Golgatha. The shape of the post was what we refer to as a cross. He, Jesus, was nailed to the cross to die a slow tortuous death.  He lived this earth without sin because He was to be the perfect sacrifice for the transgressions of mankind. Yeshua spent 3 nights and 3 days in hell and then arose from the dead, He conquered death. Arising from the death and ministering to His disciples on earth, the Son of God ascended back to heaven; He has returned to eternity and will come again. This is what I mean when I say: Jesus is Lord.

Not everyone believes in the deity of Jesus, not everyone who says they are saved is actually a follower of Yeshua Hamashia, the Anointed One. For many the natural thinking of man blocks the wisdom of the Holy Spirit.  Are you a Believer?       Written by Marsha L F Randolph
