LETTING GO

...............................IN ORDER TO LET GOD 

Anyone who has read my writings over the years have witnessed the evolution my ideology, a.k.a. Nettie-isms. I have gone through a series of changes which required my letting go of ideas, behaviors and even relationships. Change should be for the better, it should not occur because of some fancy speech or because a bunch of people think it is a good idea.  I like to believe that the reason my Facebook friends has grown from about 500 in the beginning of 2020 to close to 4,595 (as of this writing) is because of my personal growth which is based on my using common sense and accumulating knowledge and applying wisdom.

I am a people watcher. During this ‘scamdemic’  I have been taking note of the mindsets of Christians and the American Negro. (Note: I do not deny the virus but I do have a problem with the solution- $$$)

I have gotten on my soap box on more than one occasion regarding the failure of most churches as it pertains to preparing Believers for emergencies.  I have also joined the Conservative Black Americans Chorus as we sing: “It’s OK to Leave the Plantation” as we try to share truths, facts and love to those who have darker pigment. 

As we come to the end of another year I am changing my conversation. I will no longer tell people who seem to know everything, but are so obviously ignorant, to study. Clearly these adult beings are simply to immature to know how to study.

2 TIMOTHY 2:15 KING JAMES VERSION

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 

I love the King James Bible it makes me think. Unfortunately, many people are embracing more “modern” translations to read, these translations are gentler. Look at the New International Version of 2 Timothy 2:15:

2 TIMOTHY 2:15 NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

In his letter to Timothy the Apostle Paul did not say: Dear Timothy do the best you can and God will understand. No! He said: Study so that God will approve of your actions.

What I have seen in 2020, and prior to, are a group of people who have been  doing their “best”, based on the worlds standards thinking “God knows my heart”! 

I submit to all who dare to read my writings: The hear to f God’s children is lacking! And it is time to let go of the traditions of man and follow the teachings of YHWH! 

1 CORINTHIANS 13:11-12  

11  When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 

12  For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 

Children follow the crowd. Children do as they are told. Children do not have the ability to live independent of popular opinion. As children grow they become more independent in their thinking, at least they should.

As adults, regardless of the type or number of degrees, diplomas, certificates or life experiences we have, we realize that there are some things that are beyond our ability to comprehend. There are things, however, that we can understand if we put the information received in context. Children live by their feelings, “when I became a man, I put away childish things”.  To many adults are living by their feelings which change without tacking into consideration the circumstance, or context, in which they are in.

HOSEA 4:6  

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. 

Ignorant! That is what we are; without the knowledge or understanding necessary to survive. 

Years ago I realized, as I studied, that I will not ever know as much as I need to know, but if I added the wisdom and knowledge of others to what I knew I would do better than what I was doing. As I look back over my 60 years I can see how I perished because of ignorance, lack of knowledge. For years now, decades, I have been trying to help people help themselves by sharing the information that I had to learn the hard way, it has not been as effective as I wanted it to be. 

We are each unique individuals, born with special gifts and a God given purpose; we are created in the image and likeness of Him not them. God is not like: the college professor, a church leader, a parent, or a social group; He is I AM. Most of us know YHWH IS in theory but not in application.  People continue to put more trust in man than they do Him, these individuals site “the science” or “historical” facts to justify their thinking primarily because of how uncomfortable they feel when they are surrounded by those who do not agree.

It is uncomfortable to be different. Ask any individual who was born different, those with body deformities and such.

To many, including the American Negro, focus on the wrongs of slavery bad as it was we cannot undo what has been done.  By focusing on the sins of a group of people, not all White people owned slaves, the successes of many individuals who succeeded despite slavery and prejudice are ignored. I am not suggesting that we forget about the pains of the past but that we must let go of its’ stronghold on us in order to embrace a more positive future.

As Christians we should understand the concept: not everyone is our friend. The modern Christian wants to get along with everyone and are willing to overlook un-biblical philosophies. Sanctification has not been taught properly, my opinion, in most churches.

To sanctify is to separate yourself, to become different on purpose by declaring you will follow Jesus not man. 

This virus has revealed the churches that are submitted more to man than God. A church leader should be discipling, teaching, God’s children how to seek His face and follow Him not what is trending. But, everything cannot be blamed on a virus, COVID-19 made everything more obvious. 

I am glad to see so many young men and women who are letting go of the traditions of their parents and embracing the truth of God’s word. This is what happened in the book of Exodus, the old folks were left behind and the young people entered into the promises of YHWH. 

I am disappointed to see so many men and women rejecting their true heritage of faith and family. Black people, in particular, have accepted the sweet words of the Democrat party despite it being the party of slavery, welfare and other handouts; whereas Conservatives want to give a hand up. 

I am not unique, there are many Black men and women who think like me. It is sad that non-Black Conservatives treat us like we are more special than we are. Being vocal does not give you greater status than those who are not vocal it just means we are subject to greater criticism. 

As we leave 2020 and enter 2021 I know that many people of color will not let go; I grieve for them. They will, despite referring to themselves as Christian, hold onto the false narrative that good and evil are based on skin color. They will ignore the fact that the very people they support are the ones promoting their annihilation. Their church leaders will help the liberal organizations by pointing out the sins of the Republicans and not talking about the past or present transgressions of the Democrats. 

Ezekiel 12:2 (King James Version) 

Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house. 

As we head in to 2021, it is important that individuals let go of their past ideologies and be ready to embrace truths- it will be hard because two truths are being presented to each individual. Pray for seeing eyes and hearing ears. IT IS TIME TO GROW UP!

RAISED NOT TO HAVE

                                                       ...a Failure Mindset.

NETTIE-ISM: I had this thought the other day: “Many of us were raised to not have.”  If something is repeated often enough, and there is no effort to disprove it, it becomes a reality.

Born around 1797, Isabella Bomfree, aka Sojourner Truth,  was an abolitionist, and an author. In 1864 this freed slave met with Abraham Lincoln. Lack of education did not stop her. 

Hiram Revels was the First Black Senator, a Republican, in 1870. I am sure he knew that there were White people who did not like him and did not want him to be in office. Prejudice did not stop him. 

History is filled with men and women of all colors that overcame objections, real racism, in order to succeed. How did such people as George Washington Carver, Fredrick Douglas, Sarah Breedlove (aka Madam C J Walker), and Harriet Tubman become historical examples of success? Because they were aware of how people felt about them but they did not let it stop them.

Barak H Obama became the first Black President in American History not because he was “only half Black” but because he did what was necessary to achieve his goal. President Obama was not raised with an “I can’t because they will not let me” mindset. Most of his developmental years were outside the influence of the negative attitudes of the American Poverty Pimps. 

Poverty Pimps are those who actually profit off of a people group being poor. If you add up all the non-profit organization that have been created to combat the issues that plague the minority, Black and Hispanic, community, it is my opinion that the problem should have been solved by now. So why have they not been? Because if the problem was solved these people would be out of a job!

How about the church? Many churches push the concept of tithes AND offerings, even within the  low income communities. People who have nothing give because, according to the church leader, God will supply all they need because of their obedience to his/ her word. Many people who really cannot afford to give as much as they do “bless” their church leader with a “love offering” believing they will be blessed in return- they are still struggling. The proof is in the results of their actions: during this COVID-19 scam-demic the people still do not have all that they need. The church itself gets bigger and bigger and the leaders assets increase yet the people who are poor remain poor. Of course there are those who do a little better but not as well as they could if they gave with common sense and learned how to manage their money properly.

MY RANT: God is not a Las Vegas casino. You don’t put 10% of your income and get 10 -30- or 100 times your investment. You don’t go “all-in with an offering and receive the rewards of a full house. God is not a Scratch off lottery ticket- give a dollar and hope you get 5 thousand dollars a week for the rest of your life.

I attended a church that offered a Dave Ramsey financial class. The class cost money, $100, at the time. Dave Ramsey made money, the church made money but most of the people who started the course did not finish the course thus they did not make money.  END OF RANT.

Since Donald J Trump has been President, Hollywood and the news personalities have been telling Black people  they cannot succeed because of rich White racist people like Donald J Trumpp.  “Racism” has become a reason why Black people cannot: study in school, work hard on a job or clean up their own neighborhood.  The term ‘Systemic Racism’ was created to discredit White success amid Black lack, when Obama was in office it was racism’ statistical racism sounds more foreboding thus it has become the liberal chant since 2016. 

Statistically speaking Black people  have a greater chance of surviving an encounter with the police than exiting the womb or walking down the streets of an inner city BUT they are being told repeatedly by the media and more recently Hollywood that law enforcement is the problem not abortion or Black on Black crime. Both the media and entertainers, which includes athletes,  push this narrative so that people will not look at their abuse of both Black and Hispanic individuals. 

A generation of people who have been raised to hate “whitey” are now raising children to believe they cannot 'have' because they are oppressed by people who look different than they do. Somehow, America has raised a people group who really believe they cannot obtain their dream.

I was not raised with a lack mentality. I was raised with the understanding that I could be whoever I wanted to be if I assumed responsibility for my actions. Yes, there are people who do not want me to succeed, most of the people who put obstacles in my path are other Black people. Note: I am talking about me not you.

It is unfortunate, that there is a segment of the population that believe  Black Conservatives should not exist. Just like, despite being the majority, most Black slaves did not leave the plantation because they were told bad things would happen if they did.

ROMANS 12:2 KING JAMES VERSION

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 

In order to renew your mind you have to study and use common sense. In order to renew your mind you have to step away from what you are used to and surround yourself with people who are where you want to go, this is uncomfortable not racist. In order to renew your mind you must reject the advice of people who have been telling you the same thing for years, clearly it is not working.   As Americans who happen to be Black, people need to focus on the success of the past not the problems, that is the beginning stages of renewing your mind.. 

Jeremiah G Hamilton, born in Haiti 1806/1807, was the first Black American multi-millionaire.   Think about it! This man came to America, learned the language and the system and made money. He did not have a failure mindset. 

Dear Black folk, if you are going to look back- stop looking at slavery and start looking at those who succeeded despite. If you are going to quote Scripture look at: Joseph who was imprisoned and succeeded, Sampson who used his imprisonment for greatness, Paul and Silas  who worshiped God despite being in prison, and John who was boiled in oil and continued doing what God called him to do.

WHERE IS GOD NOW?

HEBREWS 13:5 KING JAMES VERSION

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

NETTIE-ISM: Jesus promised not to leave us, yet many people act as if He is gone and until the rapture we are on our own. Why pray if you don’t believe He is listening to you? Where is God in your life? 

PSALM 139:7-16 KING JAMES VERSION

According to Psalm 139:13, YHWH is with the aborted babies so why would He not be with you in your times of trouble. Why would He not be with Americans and citizens of other countries as we go through all of these trials. 

Let me editorialize Psalm 139:8:   If Donald J Trump is President He, God, will be with us. If Joe Biden is President He, God, will be with us. Is Biden God’s best? No! But, those who study Scripture know that God has allowed man to decide between death and life (Deuteronomy 30:19) revealing that the right choice would be life. 

The United States of America is at a pivotal point in its’ existence.  With the American Revolution we were united, one nation under God. After the Pearl Harbor bombings we came together to fight a common enemy. Today, like September 11, 2001, this country is being attacked by people who hate our faith and our way of living. Today, like the Civil War there is an ideological battle going on that is causing friends and family to sever relationships. It is important, therefore, to remember God is with those who are with Him.

JOHN 14:1 KING JAMES VERSION

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 

When Donald J Trump is sworn in again, Satan will not be happy. Remember, when the children of Israel entered the promised land there were battles to fight. I find it necessary to point out that not everyone entered the blessings of God, but among those who did were two out of the 12 spies and those who believed the two. 

Note: 2 out of 12 is a 17% success rate. If there were approximately six million Israelites in the wilderness then a little over one million actually made it to the promised land. Most of the men and women aged 70 or older did not make it in (Psalm 90:10). To not believe the Word of God is to chose death.

I believe (which is why this Blog is called Nettie-ology) that those of us who have stood firm and endured to the end will be blessed. 

MARK 13:13 KING JAMES VERSION

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 

The question is never: Where is God? The question always is: Where are you?

IT'S NOT MIDNIGHT

NETTIE-ISM: I was praying about the election fiasco the USA finds itself in and the Christian response. I have to take a step away from Facebook from time to time because the comments are very discouraging. 

I firmly believe it si God’s will that Donald J Trump remain President. I also believe that the Democrats with their liberal / socialist ideology are trying to steal the election and they have positioned people in places to make sure they can do so successfully, BUT GOD! 

How many Believers have made plans and God has changed them? Do we think that an omnipotent God cannot change the plans of the unBeliever? 

I was praying, prior to writing this, and the thought came to me: “And at midnight.”

What happened, biblically, at midnight?

Exodus 12:29 (King James Version) 

 And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. 

Acts 16:25-26 (King James Version) 

25  And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. 

26  And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. 

Quite a few things happened at midnight. Why is this important? In Exodus Pharaoh thought he had won and the children of Israel were totally dependent on God- they had no idea how He was going to save them. In Acts Paul and Silas were bound in prison, they had no idea what was going to happen to them. In Exodus the children of Israel were saved by the blood which had been place over their door post. In Acts Paul and Silas were delivered because they chose to worship God. 

Nothing happened in the day when all could see. Nothing happened in the evening time as people were finishing their work. Something happened when people assumed it was over. Egypt and the prisoners were quiet; tomorrow was another day.

Matthew 25:5-6 (King James Version) 

5  While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 

6  And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 

“They all slumbered and slept” no one expected anything else to happen and that is when it happened. 

Many of us have been praying and praying for this country. We have petitioned God to deliver America from the hands of demonic forces, Satan. Some people are losing hope others are walking wounded. 

2 Corinthians 4:8-10 (King James Version) 

8  We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 

9  Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 

10  Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 

Spiritual battles are not easy, especially one that has such high stakes. The only way to endure is to keep your eyes on Jesus. 

Hebrews 12:1-3 (King James Version) 

1  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 

2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 

3  For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. 

This is the season of Advent, a time in which we remember the anticipation of His coming and the birth of our Lord and Savior. Let’s not be like those who could not believe because he was born in a manger and not in a palace. Let us not not doubt His authority because He lived as a man, or His ability because He was seen as the Carpenter’s son. We must remember that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived as a man, was crucified and died and on the third day rose again. We must remember who He is and who we are in Him.

The question becomes:  Do you believe Joe Biden will become President because the Democrats are better at cheating and the creator of heaven and earth just cannot handle it? Do you believe God has been weakened by the intelligence of the Democrats? Do you really believe that God would allow a group of people who are anti-Israel, anti-Christianity, pro-abortion, and pro-same sex unions to cheat their way into office?

Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because their were no righteous in the entire community, Lot was allowed to escape. There are many Believers in America and it is not midnight yet. 

Keep praying.

WE ARE IN A SPIRITUAL BATTLE

NETTIE-OLOGY: We often say "we are in a spiritual battle"  but we don’t always believe it. We are in a spiritual battle not only as a nation but as individuals. It is time to fight!

MATTHEW 4:1-11 

1  Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 

2  And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 

3  And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 

4  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 

5  Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 

6  And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 

7  Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 

8  Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

If our Lord was attacked doing the work of Father God we cannot be surprised when we are attacked doing the right thing.

2 CORINTHIANS 4:13-18 

13   We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; 

14  Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. 

15  For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. 

16  For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 

17  For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 

18  While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. 

The problem is, a lot of us are fainting! We are losing confidence in the Word of God, perhaps because we have put to much trust in man. 

2 CORINTHIANS 4:17 

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 

I include myself in the category of a “fainter” because I was becoming discouraged. Not about the country but about what I am going through personally. The good news is the gospel!  I prayed and He lead me to 2 Corinthians chapter 4, verse 16 in particular but I read the entire chapter. 

2 CORINTHIANS 4:1 

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; 

In times of discouragement, His mercy is a ministry- it ministers to. It is not because of me but because of Him - who is in me!

2 CORINTHIANS 4:7 

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 

I am not, you are not, WE ARE NOT defeated! 

2 CORINTHIANS 4:8-9 

8  We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 

9  Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 

WE ARE: Not distressed, not in despair, not forsaken, and not destroyed! 

 

2 CORINTHIANS 4:8-9 THE VOICE

8) We are cracked and chipped from our afflictions on all sides, but we are not crushed by them. We are bewildered at times, but we do not give in to despair. 9) We are persecuted, but we have not been abandoned. We have been knocked down, but we are not destroyed.

America is not and will not be destroyed. You are not and will not be destroyed. I am not and will not be destroyed.  Verse 11 of 2 Corinthians 4 states: “we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.” In other words: 

We are going through what we are going through for the glory of God!

PSALM 23:4 

 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 

 

This verse has been in my heart most of 2020. I know that I am going through, not hanging out in, the valley of the shadow of death.  Which is why I fainted but I will faint no more. 

I have been reminded that this is a “light affliction”. This trouble that I am going through is temporary. The difficulties you are having are temporary. The afflictions America is going through is temporary. Satan has no power or authority over the Children of God.  Let us walk by faith and not by what man says!

THE BATTLE IS THE LORD'S

... BUT YOU HAVE A PART TO PLAY! 

NETTIE-ISM: I was not meant to be shut up in a house without human interaction indefinitely and neither were you! We are relational beings and to be deprived of that interaction over a prolonged, not GOD ordained, period of time is emotionally and spiritually unhealthy. 

GENESIS 2:18 KING JAMES VERSION

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. 

The idea of being “sheltered-in”, placed in solitary confinement, or any other prolonged separation from human interaction is not how God intended His children to live. There are times when we must separate ourselves from people to spend time with ABBA, it is a period of renewing our mind so that we will not be transformed by the ways of the world (Romans 12:2). 

I was not one of the irate individuals when the churches shut down in the beginning. I have my word and my God never leaves me thus nut going to church will not diminish my faith. Jesus  teaches where 2 or 3 are gathered in His name He will be with us (Matthew 18:20)that is fellowship. But the government is telling us we need to stay inside because of a virus!

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. 

It is not just to stop us from gathering in a house of worship that the government is trying to mandate but to stop us from getting together period. Satan understands the biblical principles  better than many “Christians”.

We have become a culturally diverse nation. Though blending together with other races is a great thing being mixed with different religious cultures is not, particularly within the confines of political correctness.  All Christians do not believe equally.

All Christians do not believe equally which means you may not be able to find a few people to worship with in your neighborhood. Being six feet apart with mask on and still not being able to assemble with other believers is a problem. Hebrews 10:25 warns us not to put aside gathering together I do not believe this is exclusive to church. 

2 CORINTHIANS  6:14 KING JAMES VERSION

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 

Satan’s plan is that we “fellowship” with unbelievers. This is why his servants, the politicians, say it is OK for anti-law and order organization to move freely around the country but it is not OK for people who want to lift GOD up, in praise and worship, to gather. In my  community: strip clubs are open while churches have on line services, drive up services or modified indoor services.

JOHN 12:32 KING JAMES VERSION

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. 

The longer a person is isolated the more difficult it is to remember that Jesus was lifted up. He was crucified for us that we may be saved. Unfortunately, many do not have a solid faith foundation and they are falling by the way side. (Matthew 13:1-23)

God’s words are being replaced with man’s words. This is what happened with the prophet Elijah, 1 Kings 19:9-13, he became fearful and hid himself in a cave, despite all the great things he had done under the anointing of YHWH he sheltered himself, hid, in a cave. Many people are beginning to blindly comply with the talking points of Satan’s operatives, media personalities, they are hiding behind mask and staying in their homes. YHWH called Elijah out of the cave and sent him out because Elijah had a purpose that could not be fulfilled if he stayed in the cave.

I am more than just a writer, I was called to help people help themselves. I cannot fulfill my purpose shut up in this house. 

HEBREWS 13:6 KING JAMES VERSION

So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. 

We were not meant to hide in our homes until Satan’s workers give the all clear. If you believe in GOD and Jesus is not only your Savior but the Lord of your life then now is the time for you to gird up your faith and boldly declare your trust in the Lord.

WHICH WAY DO I GO?

 I AM ALL IN FOR JESUS

NETTIE-ISM: I am going through a lot of crap right now in the midst of the country going through crap. But GOD is not getting hysterical and worried! 

Matthew 6:32-34 (King James Version)

He, ABBA Father, knows I am going through crap and that I need solutions. He has not cleared a path for me to escape. Quite the contrary, as I look out into my back yard, the enclosure for the pool is still there, the fence around the yard is still there, and the trees in the neighbors’ yard are still there; I am not supposed to escape.

So much is happening around me that it has become a distraction. The distraction has caused me to change my focus, but God has never left me and He is still speaking.  I ave to be still and remember He is God (Psalm 46:10).

God will be exalted!  Let me write this again: GOD WILL BE EXALTED. His word will not return to Him void but will accomplish everything:

10  Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. 

11  The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

It’s a done deal! Satan cannot win this battle in my life and he cannot win the battle that is going on in America. “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.“(Psalm 107:20 King James Version) I believe the Word! What do you believe?

Now more than ever I believe we are to double down in our study of what is written and, without ignoring what is happening on earth, trust God.

While the country was going through COVID struggles I was beginning the process of ending my marriage. I was doing what was necessary to increase my income so that I could live as single woman of 60 years. I don’t take divorce lightly which is why it has taken me 20 years to make the decision and Mr. R is in agreement. I had to make the decision to seek first GOD. 

As the election results came in so did the attacks on my finances. For me there is always a “But God” moment. And this morning I was reminded: Because I have decided to follow Jesus, my God will take care of all these things.  God’s got this! Really He does.

I am not a perfect person which means I am not a perfect Christian, My God does not care. This is my confession: I AM ALL IN FOR JESUS- just as I am!  How about you?

Are you going to allow the cares of this world to drag you down? Or are you going to get up and start walking towards the Lord?

WHOSE WILL SHOULD BE DONE?

NETTIE-ISM: There is supposed to be a mass exodus from Facebook Saturday. I will not be of the thousands because I am not on Facebook because of political ideology.

MATTHEW 6:9-13 KING JAMES VERSION

As always I speak to Christians when I write with the hopes that a non-Believer will take into consideration my words. The reason I am on Facebook is to come into contact with “a person”, every day there is that “one person” who needs to read what I write or share.  Facebook is not about sharing my political ideology, it is about me sharing my faith  and my walk with YHWH as imperfect as it may be. 

This morning, as usual, I awakened and the Spirit of God placed the words: “Thy will be done” in my soul.  Personally I am reminded that I must do His will not mine. But, with those using social media it appears that they believe His will is what they have determined it to be the way they have determined it to be. YHWH SAID:

ISAIAH 55:8-9 KING JAMES VERSION

8  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 

9  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 

I take these words literally. I am not God, neither are those who are on social media. People are free to leave Facebook, I don’t have a problem in that; however, God is not political therefore going to another platform does not guarantee 100 percent agreement among your peers. More important, in my opinion, the problem is not the control of ideology on sites that are owned by liberals the problem is the lack of boldness among the saints. 

PHILIPPIANS 1:12-14 KING JAMES VERSION

12  But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel; 

13  So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;

I am staying on Facebook because as long as I am there I can boldly proclaim the Truth about my Lord and Savior. I will go to ‘Ninevah’ an speak of the goodness of my Lord and Savior because it is His will that I proclaim His good news.

THE SOLUTION IS IN THE WORD OF GOD!

NETTIE-ISM: I cannot agree with you and I do not expect you to agree with me. Believing ‘them’ you have not faith in Him; attending church you have no relationship with God; trusting their words, you lack trust in His words.  I would rather be a doorkeeper at the gates of he
aven than to attend a church in which the attendees panic at the first sign of tribulation (Psalm 84:10).

2 Timothy 2:14-18 (King James Version) 

14  Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. 

15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Note: other translations have taken out that word “study” in verse 15. We need to study not just “Be diligent” as some translations have interpreted.

As I write I am thinking of all the election babble that is going on. It is clear that fraud has occurred, and even Christians are choosing to accept the lie as truth.. What troubles me is the reaction of those Christians who are responding as if Satan is going to win this battle. Second Timothy instructs us “shun profane and vain babblings” (vs15), we are not toa welcome them into the house of God.

As I have prayed the Spirit of YHWH has shown me many things. This morning November 9, 2020) I was reminded of the prophet who could not curse, lie, God’s people; Numbers 22-24

Moab is afraid of God’s children.

Numbers 22:6 (King James Version) 

Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed. 

Balaam was a prophet hired to curse the children of Israel; he was a false prophet. Today we have many Balaams in the  pulpit, we know they are Balaams because they are motivated by money not the Word. Like many church leaders of today and the Devil in the book of Job, Balaam sought permission from God to prophesy to His children.

Request denied? He did not have God’s permission to curse the people yet he proceeded anyway.

Numbers 23:16-20 (King James Version) 

16  And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus. 

17  And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken? 

18  And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor: 

19  God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Study chapters 22-24 of the book of Numbers and pay attention to how persistent the false prophet was because of the money. This is where the ass talks in orer to try and stop Balaam from going against the will of God (Numbers 22:28-35). 

In the end the children of Israel were blassed and not cursed because false prophets are limited.

Numbers 24:12-13 (King James Version) 

12  And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying, 

13  If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the LORD saith, that will I speak?  

It is in the book of Numbers that we find the solution to what is going on today with the 2020 Presidential elections. The Moabites and the Medianites have gotten together under the leadership of Satan, Balak, and they are using church leaders and politicians and media types who refer to themselves as “Christian” in order to defeat God (see Ephesians 6:12). But there came a time when the prophet realized he could not curse whom God has not cursed, and the time will come and now is when the demonic words of Satan’s children will fail- President Donald J Trump is blessed. What God has for His children no man, woman or spirit can take away (Isaiah 55:11. 

What we see today politically is not defeat. We see defiance(Numbers 23:8 KJV), we see many rejecting truth. God has not defied Donald J Trump and he is the one standing in the gap for the children of God. Therefore, whom God has given the victory too  - Donald J Trump is the victor. Donald J Trump is  still our President.  

I pray:

Father God those people who are called to speak, testify, as to the validity of the ballots: I ask that you harness their tongues and capture their minds so that like Balaam they can only speak blessings to Your children. 

I pray for peace in this land Lord. What Satan meant for evil, use for Your glory on earth as it is in heaven.  In Jesus name - AMEN.

ANSWERED PRAYER

 NETTIE-OLOGY: God is still answering prayers, if He hears you.

If you read my ebook BEFORE YOU PRAY FOR ME then you know that I believe in the power of prayer. This year, 2020, has been a prayer answering year for me as long as…And that is what I want to talk to you about right now.

JAMES 5:16-18 KING JAMES VERSION

16)  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. 

17)  Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. 

18)  And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. 

Elias did not pray to prove what a big man on campus he was or to impress a woman. Elias prayed to get the peoples eyes off of the government and onto God. Everything we do must give Him glory.

ROMANS 8:28 KING JAMES VERSION 

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 

Praying contrary to the plans of YHWH are ineffective because He does not hear you.

In order to pray effectively we must incorporate His words, which reflect His will, thus justifying our request.  I was taught to “find a Scripture” but it is more than that. Romans 8:28 teaches that it is “according to His purpose”, this means what we are asking must be related to His purpose for our life. 

Why would I pray for a mansion if I know He does not want me living in one? 

MATTHEW 6:10 KING JAMES VERSION 

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 

If you don’t know what His will for you is then that is your first prayer: Father, What is your will for my life?  All things work together for good according to His purpose not yours. 

My prayers are answered because I know my purpose in life and I know what is lacking that is causing me not to fulfill my purpose. God says yes! 

2 CORINTHIANS 1:20 KING JAMES VERSION

For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. 

For me this has been an exciting, though admittedly nerve racking at times, year for me. I am totally yielded to Him and that is why my prayers are answered with a resounding yes!

WHERE IS THE LOVE?

 

NETTIE-ISM: I am disturbed by the behavior that many ‘Christians’ are exhibiting.

1 CORINTHIANS 13:1-3   THE VOICE

What if I speak in the most elegant languages of people or in the exotic languages of the heavenly messengers, but I live without love? Well then, anything I say is like the clanging of brass or a crashing cymbal. 2) What if I have the gift of prophecy, am blessed with knowledge and insight to all the mysteries, or what if my faith is strong enough to scoop a mountain from its bedrock, yet I live without love? If so, I am nothing. 3) I could give all that I have to feed the poor, I could surrender my body to be burned as a martyr, but if I do not live in love, I gain nothing by my selfless acts.

There are people who say they believe in GOD and Jesus, I suspect they do not have a personal relationship with Him.  I am not referring to these individuals, they are the first to admit they are not well versed in the expectations of Christiandom. I write about those individuals who are proud of their church attendance and giving record; those individuals who have memorized numerous Scriptures and read the Bible every year from Genesis to Revelations- “Super Christians” is what I call them. And, the many who get in the public eye and declare: “I am a Christian”. 

Jesus said:

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. I believe, many people say they are Christians because they do what the church they belong to instruct them to do.  But the word says: You cannot know Him if your actions are irrelevant if it is not done with love nor do you have a relationship with Him if you do not walk in love.

1 JOHN 4:8 KING JAMES VERSION

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 

Actions speak louder than words; in the past few months I have seen, we have witnessed, the actions of individuals filled with rage. A picture is worth a thousand words; in the past few months we have seen images of people in various positions of disrespect and vulgarity. The images, the actions and even the words have been filled with strife. I am thinking of one particular group as I write this but the “other group” is not without sin!

We don’t have to be ‘lovers’ or even friends for me to love you. What is important is that we are not disrespectful, antagonistic, offensive, divisive or blasphemous in what we say or do- lately it has been all of the above.

This year, 2020, should have been a time in which the churches should have rallied around the gospel of Truth and Love. 

1 JOHN 4:1

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

How sad, even disappointing, that so many churches failed to present the truth to it’s sheep.  Without the Word being taught there can be no love, for God is love.

MY FIRST AND LAST DAY AS A POLL WORKER!

 NOVEMBER 3, 2020 I worked as a Poll Inspector for the Miami Dade County government.  Not having much experience I will say the team leadership, Miami Dade County Clerk, was excellent. The trouble shooter for all things related to data entry was on point- every issue a voter had that COULD BE FIXED WAS FIXED IMMEDIATELY!  But…

I suspect, many of the problems that I saw are a direct result of individuals voting via a 3rd party website. I learned that many of these sites charged fees that may have been around $2. Democrat fundraising???? I came to this conclusion when I noticed many young people who came to my desk to validate their ability to vote came up in the computer “May require assistance” (wording may not be exact) they did not. I doubt if an able bodied individual who was registering to vote would request help in voting.

Wrong address was the biggest problem- many people went to the voting wrong site. Because there was a neighboring precinct voting site on the opposite side of the street- also located in a church- this was an honest mistake. However, there were many who thought because of what “they” said they could vote anywhere. This has to do with messaging and the problem could have been solved if ads focused on the process of voting.

Messaging is a big problem because no one actually taught voters how to vote! 

1. The fact that people went to sites in which they had to pay to register and vote reveals a lack of knowledge. REGISTERING TO VOTE IS FREE. 
2. A person registered to vote on November 2nd, probably on one of those sites. And was surprised that he could not vote on November 3rd. There were a few other people who had registered to vote after the filing deadline
                  I SUSPECT MOST OF THESE PEOPLE WERE DEMOCRATS.
3. VOTING IN YOUR DISTRICT many people did not understand on election day you must report to your district to vote. We sent a few people to places that range from 15 to over 30 minutes away so that they could vote. I doubt if they voted.
4. People do not understand the difference between a primary versus general election, nor that there were elections more than just every 4 years. Unfortunately, I did not have time to educate these, mostly young, people. 
5. The most egregious case I saw was that of a young lady coming to vote for the first time but was not actually registered. She had registered through a 3rd party site and did not know her request had been flagged by the county. Apparently she was not of voting age when she was registered. Information was given to her and her mother on how to properly registered to vote by the county specialist and they went home. About an hour later the mother brought her other daughter in and the issue was the similar- her application was not processed!  This daughter had a confirmation email but the county still had not completed her request to be a registered voter. AGAIN, I suspect these were registered DEMOCRATS!

I blame all of this on messaging because people were bombarded with candidate ads but not process ads. I know the county kept reminding people that after early elections you had to vote in your precinct but who listens to county ads. Candidates said a quick “Get out and vote” comment as they campaigned but with the assumption that the hearer knew how and where to vote. 

This was my first time working as a Poll Worker and it will be my last. That was an unusually long day for in which I was a captive participant. We reported at 5:30AM for final setups and to be sworn in and at 7AM sharp the doors were open. I could walk to my house but I did not leave for a lunch break because if I did and it got busy there would not be enough people to handle the crowd. I maintained a positive attitude the entire day and was pleasant to everyone. The last two hours I wanted to slap one of my coworkers but I was read to snap at a coworker but was restrained from another coworker who reprimanded her.  I realized we were tired- we were all tired. The doors were shut promptly at 7pm and we began taking down everything that  we had set up the day before. I returned home around 8:30PM and was in bed by 10pm, this is very early for me!

Of the voters that came to my machine to validate their ability to vote:

• Many of the young people were Democrats
• I was happy to note a friend of mines son was registered Independent
• I did see quite a few first time voters that were registered as NO POLITICAL AFFILIATION and some Independents. 
• I saw quite a few Black and Hispanic Republicans
• Most of the people I validated were not Democrat, I think my machine validated about 180 voters. 

A NOTE ABOUT MAIL IN BALLOTS - Many, to many in my opinion, individuals who came into vote were flagged in the system because they received a mail-in-ballot. Most of the people said they had not received a ballot, some received it and either brought it in, we voided them and set them aside to be disposed of- or had disposed of them themselves. 

I believe in the end Donald J Trump will be our President. The Democrats shot themselves in the foot by creating these fund raising websites that register people to vote. I suspect this is how they funneled illegals into the system and a few minors. Had I not seen so many Black Republicans coming to vote in a Democrat district I would have not believed this so firmly. 

I am sure there is more I forgot but this is the gist of my first and last experience as a poll worker- it is not worth the fatigue!

In case you might ask- according to the book I received when I trained my pay for the one day will be $109 (I pray it is x2). I knew how much I was getting paid during training, I did not appreciate what I should have been paid until I actually worked.  I will be writing a letter to the board of elections.

WHAT IS TRUTH?

 BIBLE STUDY-PROVERBS #13   PROVERBS 3:3 (PART 2)

NETTIE-OLOGY: People are free to believe or not believe and I am free to not listen to unbelief. I do not want people thinking they can say any type of foolishness to me and I will “tolerate” it. I try to be biblically correct but I chose not to be politically correct, which is why the more vocal I become about what I believe the fewer non-believing people want to be around me. Not everyone wants to hear the Truth.

PROVERBS 3:3 KING JAMES VERSION

Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: 

Mercy and truth go hand in hand and there are things that can come against both in your life. In a previous post (WHAT IS MERCY?) I talked about the importance of mercy now I want to speak about truth. When you know the truth you will be able to show mercy; without mercy you can not walk in the truth. 

Proverbs warns us to not let truth forsake or leave us. 

Note: The New International Version translate the word truth,  “emet” in Hebrew, to  “faithfulness”. The Expanded Bible, the American Standard, the Voice and the New King James translated emet to the word “truth”.  I believe “truth”, as it has been translated in the King James, is more appropriate. 

Why would truth as well as mercy leave? Goodness and mercy are supposed to follow us all the days of our lives (Psalm 23:6)! Jesus declared: He was the Truth (John 14:6) and we are warned to seek Him while He may be found (Isaiah 55:6). Truth and mercy leave because we think we have found something better.

We reject truth because we believe that someone else has a better truth.  People reject the truth about abortion for a false “better truth”

2 TIMOTHY 4:3-4 KING JAMES VERSION

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 

Salvation is personal, it has nothing to do with your denomination, your service in ministry, or your giving. BUT IT DOES HAVE EVERYTHING TO DO WITH YOUR ACTIONS as it relates to the reason why. 

JAMES 4:3-4 KING JAMES VERSION 

3  Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. 

4  Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. 

The development as to what a person accepts as the truth is based on motivation, self justification. People believe abortions are OK because the world teaches it but Scripture teaches that life is declared by God before conception. 

ISAIAH 44:2 KING JAMES VERSION

Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen. 

We also should note that GOD wanted relationships to be between a male and a female.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 

MATTHEW 19:4-6 KING JAMES VERSION

IF, you, Believer, keep your eyes on the mercy of YHWH and the truth of YHWH whatever you are going through you will overcome. 

What is truth? Jesus is truth in fact He is the Truth.

NETTIE-ISM: RUN AWAY

 NETTIE-ISM: Most mornings a Bible verse is brought to my remembrance; the Holy Spirit gives me a word. I often share the verse or the “word” associated with the verse on Facebook. Today I decided to elaborate on it.

JAMES 4:7 KING JAMES VERSION

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 

I have to admit, for some reason I interpreted this verse as the Believer running from the Devil. Perhaps because I have heard many sermons about fleeing sin? But the opposite is true: I am, the Believer is to, resist the Devil and the Devil will run away from me- or you the Believer.

The first step is to submit to GOD. Many individuals are not submitted to Him, believing and allowing Him to order your steps is not the same.  Jesus must have lordship over your life.

2 TIMOTHY 3:1-5 KING JAMES VERSION 

1) This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2) For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3) without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4)traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5) having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 

According to James 4:7,  Satan should be running from you! In 2 Timothy 3 we see the ways of the world, turn your back on this foolishness! Reject the ways of the world. But how can we when the ways of the world have infiltrated many of the churches?
