LIFE GOES ON.....

NETTIE-ISM: I don’t know why it is so hard for people to understand that no matter what is going on in the world- life goes on.

One would think that many people would evaluate the events of the past four months and make the necessary adjustments in their lives. Not everyone caught COVID-19. WHY? Why are some people not worried about another stimulus check from the government? Why are some people not worried about ANTIFA, or BLM destroying their neighborhood?

Questions, I have lots of questions. Here is a question: What are you doing today to make your tomorrow better?

Far to many people are busy looking at what someone else is doing. Your success or failure has nothing to do with what someone else does or does not do.

Eventually, COVID-19 will not be an issue. Eventually, ANTIFA will get tired of taking over a neighborhood just like Occupy Wall Street eventually faded away. Plagues and rebellions have been around since the beginning of time- read your Bible. If you study history the one thing you will discover is: LIFE GOES ON.

If life goes on: what are you doing about improving your life?  I speak to Black people in particular, since they seem to be the center of attention TODAY. 

The statues are down, Aunt Jemima is no longer on a bottle of syrup and the police officers are in jail- now what? Hmmm, another question!

Unfortunately, many people of color, African-Americans, do not want to listen to people such as myself, Conservative Black folks, because we support Donald J. Trump. Yet, we are more than willing to reach out and help others, both Black and non-Black. 

Real life changes begin with education. It is time for loyal Democrats to understand that they have been lied to. 

It is time to evaluate what has always been known but ignored. The statues they are pulling down are not of racist Republicans but Democrats. Aunt Jemima is based on a woman who became one of the first Black millionaires. The movie Gone With the Wind had the first Black Female Oscar winner in it. And President Donald J Trump, not Obama, did more to help: Historically Black Colleges, Black men in jail, Black entrepreneurship and Black people get jobs including our youth, than any other President in history. It is the Republican Party not the Democrat that has helped people of all nationalities improve their lives by creating HAND-UP OPPORTUNITIES.

Furthermore, people need to understand, the very people who are shouting: racism, sexism, homophobia, and xenophobia make money giving speeches about such but really don’t care what really happens to these people groups. Non-profit organizations spend more money on salaries than the people the program was supposed to be helping. What happened to the money the Clinton Foundation raised to help Haiti? 

Note: It took President Trump less than 4 years to get people jobs, jobs that Obama said never would come back to America.  If Black Lives Matter really cared about Black lives they would be doing something about the Black on Black crime in America. Al Sharpton only shows up when the cameras are rolling and money can be made, when a child is shot by a stray bullet the most he might do is send out a press release. All of these Liberals have rich comfortable lives outside of their ‘causes’. 

As long as a person is dependent on hand-outs he or she will never obtain and keep the life you want. Remember: what was given to you can be taken from you. The White man, is not your problem, depending on hand-outs is. 

I have spent decades helping people. Before I started teaching this money management class I told about 20 Black people about it. Not a single one signed up, despite their being a 14 day Free Trial. The virtual class is part of Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University and it is a very successful program. More non-Black people take this course than Black, is it because a rich White man is over the program? 

Until a person gets a grip on the finances, I don’t care how much money you have or don’t have, there will be problems. The FREE MONEY many people obtained via the stimulus is gone and people need another hand-out. This is not the fault of a rich White man it is the result of a lifestyle in which many people, of all colors, have become dependent on hand-outs. 

No matter what you do- life will go on.

WHEN YHWH LETS GO

NETTIE-OLOGY:YHWH is the supreme authority (sovereign) yet He has given us the ability to chose.  

ROMANS 1:28 THE EXPANDED VERSION

[L- And since/just as] People did not ·think it was important [consider it worthwhile; see fit] to ·have a true knowledge of [or acknowledge] God. So God ·abandoned them to [allowed them to pursue; gave them over to] ·their own worthless thinking [a depraved/corrupted mind] to do things they should not do.

I like the expanded Bible because I don’t have to look at the notes to see the literal (L), commentary (C) or other notes somewhere else. It may be confusing to some but I felt it important to put emphasis on Romans 1:28 via the Expanded Bible. 

I believe what we see today is what happens all the time, spiritually speaking, but many don’t see it. The hellish behavior we see now has been expounded upon so that there is no denial that evil exist. Yet, many people chose to put labels on it that do not reflect the true nature of the problem: A rejection of His rules for living. 

ROMANS 1:28 KING JAMES VERSION

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 

30  Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:  Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. 

“People did not ·think it was important” to incorporate the teachings of YHWH in their lives. (The Expanded Version) This is what we hear today, as homosexuality is promoted in the church and abortions are funded by our government. More recently the Supreme Court has justified illegal behavior in the form of DACA. Immorality is becoming acceptable not only by people in the world but by children of YHWH. 

“So God ·abandoned them to [allowed them to pursue; gave them over to] ·their own worthless thinking”. In 2016 so many Christians were quoting 2 Chronicles 7:14 as if it was a verse that applied to everyone else but him or her. Today I see these individuals pointing the finger at others, one even accused me of not being a true Believer. Yet, out of their mouths comes condemnation, anger, and hate. 

I have seen what happens on Social Media when one Believers suggest to another Believer that perhaps he or she should walk in love, particularly as it applies to Mr. George Floyd and the tasered gentleman in Atlanta. No one wants to wait for the judicial system to do what it needs to be done- not saint or sinner. Sinners destroy their community and the saints destroy the character.

“These officers need to go to jail.” “They are murderers.” Lots’ of accusations and convictions. No one is innocent until proved guilty by saint or sinner.  The children of God are just as merciless as the children of the darkness- NOT ALL BUT TO MANY.

As He has done in the past He does now. YHWH is allowing His children to feel the pain of His removing His protection. 

PSALM 91:1-2 NEW KING JAMES VERSION

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.”

People are NOT trusting YHWH, Believers are not trusting Him. They have stepped out of His presence and looked to government to solve their problems. 

They want the doctors to heal them of COVID-19, what they are getting is confusion. 

1 CORINTHIANS 14:33 NEW KING JAMES VERSION

For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.

They want the government to give them money to survive. 

PHILIPPIANS 4:18 NEW KING JAMES VERSION

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

And, people who call themselves Christian live in fear of what might happen if Trump does not win the election.

2 TIMOTHY 1:7 NEW KING JAMES VERSION

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Some might argue: If we had been allowed to go to church our faith would not have wavered. I would suggest: You are the church. The leaders of the church should have equipped Believers to endure whatever comes including not coming to the building. 

EPHESIANS 4:11-14

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 

I submit to any who have dared read this entire post. Things will get better. He is merciful and full of grace but the next “wave” will be worst. Will you be ready?

CANDACE OWENS IS NOT THE PROBLEM!

NETTIE-ISM: The problem is not Candace Owens but people’s expectations of her because she is Black and female.

The problem with finding that ONE BLACK PERSON!  I have always struggled with my non-Black friends as it relates to Black Conservative Leadership.  It SEEMS every time there is an articulate Black voice people rally around him or her as if.
I remember hearing people talking about Candace Owens running for President. I said No! People celebrated Dr. Carson. I said he is not Presidential material. Even Terrance K Williams is lifted up by many, He is a comedian and political commentator.

WE HAVE TO STOP PUTTING EXPECTATIONS ON PEOPLE JUST BECAUSE.

Scripture is clear about who should and should not be leaders. Being able to lead does not make you a Leader.

A true Leader, such as Dr. Carson, appreciates his strengths and weakness. He understands why he could not be President and why Donald J Trump is. He is doing great work in an area in which he is familiar with AND has great influence- LEADERS INFLUENCE.

Like it or not Candace Owens is influencing. Her problem is she is walking according to her beliefs and not the ideology of other Conservatives. She recently received great flack because she pointed out the faults of George Floyd. There are those who believe this was wrong because it is creating more problems than it is solving- thus she has become a rogue.

I believe she did the right thing. Candace Owens did what many Black Conservatives feared to do. She told the truth even though it hurt. I believed that Mr. Floyd was a God fearing man, and I chose not to look at the circumstances of his arrest. And then I gave him an excuse: “he was trying to get his life together”. We will never know because at the point of his death he was doing the wrong thing.
THE FOUR POLICE OFFICERS WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE if not on earth then when they die.

The problem we have today is that we are trying to mix pigment, religion and politics together equally; it cannot be done. Faith must come first, if you consider yourself to be a follower of Yeshua Hamashiach, Jesus the Messiah. Pigment is irrelevant to all those who believe in YHWH and politics is secondary to faith.

If you put your faith first then no one will be lifted up higher than Jesus, not even Donald J. Trump. Candace Owens becomes just another voice releasing her opinions.

There are many non-Black people I listen to and I don’t think he or she should run for President nor am I impressed with every word he or she speaks. I  may like their ideas but I also have my own.

I think it is time for all the non-Black people to stop pointing out all the smart Black people they discover and just appreciate each person for who he or she is.

DRESS FOR SUCCESS

                         

NETTIE-ISM: If being successful means wearing designer suits and make-up then I am a failure!  This is just a saying based on a book that a lot of people read. You can look successful from the top of your head to the souls of your feet and be the biggest flop there is. Success begins in the mind. 

The problem with “dressing for success” is the dressing. Not everyone thinks that a suit represents success, many people today hate the idea of wearing a suit to work. Also, if you cannot afford business clothing, how does that influence your destiny? It doesn’t.

Success begins in the mind. If you don’t believe in yourself, if you do not believe that you can, then nothing you wear will help you achieve success.

What is success?

I do not believe a person can be successful if he does not know his GOD given purpose. It is not about how much money you earn it is about what you do with the gifts/ talents you have. Living your life on purpose with a purpose is the key to success, even if you can do it in your pajamas!
