BIBLE STUDY: BOOTIE-LICOUS- WHERE ARE THE AGED WOMEN?

  

And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.  GENESIS 2:25

Some women today, including Christian women, present themselves as if they lived in the Garden of Eden; this is not OK. In the Garden of Eden God presented Eve to Adam butt naked, sexual pleasures were not a priority and the promotion of body image was not part of their lifestyle. Today, women are not completely naked but the clothes they wear promote their shape, so much so that there is no need to take any clothing off for an observer to determine what is behind the fabric. Sexual pleasures are sought and body image is marketed in today’s societies; Christians would never admit this but anyone at the beach would not be able to determine a woman’s faith by what she was wearing. Christian women, some, are technically naked and not ashamed.

GENESIS 3:21 

Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

God placed man and woman in the Garden of Eden, a place where nothing was “bad”: no sexual perverts, no lust, no rapist, no fashion trends; Eden was a “safe place”.  Adam and his wife Eve walked in the Spirit, clothing was non-existent because they were not necessary.  But before they left their original home, a place where everything was good, and entered the world they were covered not with a jacket but coats (plural).

Galatians 5:16

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Sin, disobedience to God’s will, caused a reversal in the way Adam and Eve lived. They no longer walked as spiritual beings, their spirit died, they walked as fleshly beings,

JOHN 3:5-7 

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

When we seek a personal relationship with God we must do so by accepting Yeshua Hamashiach, as God’s only begotten son (John 3:16). Many people say they believe yet do not allow Jesus, Yeshua, to be Lord over their lives. When Jesus is Lord over our lives we are submitted to His will and His way in every aspect of our lives. When Yeshua is Lord over our lives we do those things that please Him. 

In this bible study my goal is to share with my sisters in Christ God’s will for our lives. We will examine many women of the Bible, some are housewives others are great leaders; some were chosen by God others go against God’s will. I write based on the real world not christiandom, that means I use the language of the day and the lifestyles that exist today. THIS IS NOT YOUR TRADITIONAL BIBLE STUDY.   It is my belief that there is a push to “empower” women to be equal to man at the expense of ignoring who God called them to be. Women can be women of wisdom and purpose without dishonoring men but we must first understand God’s guidelines for womanhood.

GENESIS 3:16

Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

What is wrong with having desire “to thy husband”? It is indicative of an incomplete relationship. The woman was created out of man, not dirt, God presented the woman to the man and the two became one.  Eve listened to the serpent without consulting her husband or God first, this was the wrong decision.  Our behavior should be “with” not “to”: we go “to” the store and go to the store “with” our husband; we do not go to our husbands with the store. Eve did not make a decision to eat the fruit “with” her husband but despite of. Many women today are trying to go to a man with their sexuality and their stuff.

The words our Father in heaven spoke in the Garden are very troubling to most women, myself included. Looking at women today it is clear many have yet to see how such words can be a blessing. This is why we are to submit to our husbands, submission redirects our attention from personal desires to God’s will, if you are joined with a man of God. In developing the mindset of a Titus 2:3-5 woman it is important to understand how those words can be and should be used today. 

It is time for God’s daughters to stop trying to be bootilicious and start trying to be  sober exhibiting behavior that exhibits holiness. Does that mean we should dress like nuns? No but there is something to admire when women leave something for men to imagine. 

TITUS 2:3-5 KING JAMES VERSION

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. 

Where are the aged women? They are out there, I know a few but there are not enough! Today’s women lack examples, it is time that women who consider themselves Christian start being example for our daughters in Christ.

Eve was the first: woman, wife, mother, grandmother and the first female to get it wrong. I believe God’s “curse” was actually a way of protecting women. In her naiveness she was gullible; women are the weaker vessel (1 Peter 3:7).  That does not make us incompetent it just makes the man stronger, I submit to you that men who have a personal relationship with God have a stronger spiritual strength than women do. Adam was not deceived (1 Timothy 2:14) he was ignorant (Hosea 4:6, 2 Corinthians 2:11), he did not know what “death” was thus when Eve bit of the fruit and he saw nothing change, he too ate. Eve was blamed for the fall of man but Adam was at her side and did not stop her, this is the problem.

Men will let a woman do what she wants, especially today, and he will use her behavior to his advantage. 

If you listen, my sisters, you will discover that men really do respect the “good girls” but they enjoy playing with the ones who think they have the power. Recently, I started watching these Court Shows: Couples Court, Paternity Court and Divorce Court. I am amazed at the number of women who are sexually promiscuous and the number of women who discover that their boyfriend, father of their child, or husband are not faithful. Women are angry at other women for having sex with a man that was never their’s to begin with. 

Women who present themselves as the “forbidden fruit”, bootilicous, cannot be surprised that men eventually get tired of that candy and move on to the next flavor. Christian women are no different, the Bible says: “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.” (Proverbs 18:22) When you present yourself as sexy expect to be treated as a sex toy. 

Titus 2:3 begins with: “The aged women likewise,….teachers of good things;”. Where are our examples of godly women? Where are our “aged”, mature, women?  To many are out there competing with the younger women, cougars, not teaching them.

I have been blessed with friendships of women older than me who have gently guided me in the right direction. Of the nine ‘aged women’  I know six have graduated from earth to eternity, that leaves three. As I grieved the loss of these valuable friendships I have become aware that I am now the older woman that Titus 2 speaks of. I compared myself to those women, my mentors, my examples, and discovered that I fell short of their final position as women of God.

Thankfully, I still have three women of God speaking into my life, my god-mother, a 98 year old woman whom I will just refer to as The Elder Woman and a Pastor friend. Through these women I understand- wisdom comes with time, experience and a personal knowledge of God’s word. 

There are many “older” women who have yet to realize that they are the “aged women” that Titus chapter 2 verses three through five speaks of. Currently, their conversations and behavior are no different than that of the younger women. To many of these older woman, today, profess to be a Christian yet they choose not to be an example of how a Christian woman should live: “The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness…”.

Most Christians do not know how to live Christ-like despite the thousands of churches all over the world. Personally, I struggle trying to find a balance between living in the world and knowing I belong to the Kingdom of God. I empathize with the women of today particularly after my divorce, thankfully, I have aged women who behave in a godly manner and serve as my godly examples. 

Many people look for “mentors” in all the wrong places. Attracted by what is seen, what is thought as a desire, and what others have, people look up to individuals who have the greatest presence, mostly celebrities or celebrity like individuals.

Christians, follow what they perceive as “the anointing”, various Bible speakers who draw large crowds and are popular within the preaching circuit circle. Christians place much confidence in the words of these individuals but BUT Scripture teaches we our behavior is to be the example. The Bible is clear that His word, God’s Word, will not return to Him void (Isaiah 55:11) not man’s words. We accept popular opinions as to how we should behave. 

Believers in God’s word are to be living sacrifices, not giving to the world’s standards but walking boldly knowing that the world may reject us but God will accept us. (Romans 12:1-2). Our words reflect what we really believe, it is written:  Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks (Matthew 12:34). If we are speaking our faith we will live our faith.

Dr. Alveda King is a woman of God, in my opinion. I don’t know her personally but I have watched her demeanor over the years on various news programs. I know the things that she supports and though I will not say I agree with everything she says I cannot say I disagree with anything she has said.  What I admire the most about Dr. King is her gentle spirit that is reflected whenever she speaks. She really is someone people have to listen to and that makes her a powerful influencer. I consider her a Titus 2 woman.

We have never met, she does not know I admire her, she does not need to know. Titus women are examples because they live a godly life not because they have a 501c3 declaring they are godly! My personal examples, those 3 women I spoke of earlier, know that I love them but made know declaration of being my “mentor”. What I have discovered: most younger women watch.

I did not know how closely others were watching me until I divorced my husband. Although I was not disrespectful to him, it was clear that my now ex-husband and I were not in a “godly” marriage. When I divorced him, there were questions from many individuals: Why did you stay so long? How could you put up with him? Why didn’t you …”, many questions letting me know that people had been watching me over the years. It was clear by all who observed my behavior: I did everything I could to save my marriage. I believe in the end God released me from what was a bondage and not a relationship because my flesh was reaching a point in which I wanted to seek my own vengeance.  Before I reached a point in which I would  be so angry that I did not care if I sinned God gave me a way out (1 Corinthians 10:13) “that the word of God be not blasphemed.” I AM NOT PERFECT, no one is, but I take this mantle of being a Titus woman very seriously. 

As we begin to explore what it means to be a woman of God, a Tutus 2 woman, BE WARNED: I will not be politically correct, gender sensitive, or adhere to any restrictive teaching guidelines that I may have been taught. I have no intention of sugar coating the conversation; the words I use will probably offend many. As I pray I am confident that I will be lead by the Spirit of God as I begin this on-line conversation to women about women.

ARE YOU LYING TO YOURSELF?

 It is my opinion that there are individuals, many, who have created a reality that is not based on reality. The foundation of their personal truths are based on: What the Pastor / church leader declares and not Scripture; what the Scientist speak publicly and not what the science actually says; what the media reports and not what is actually happening around the world; or what “they”, parents, grandparents, people he or she knows, say. There are also individuals who deny the truth because of the pain one or more person)s) has inflicted upon him or her.  It is difficult to discuss differing opinions with these people because they are so locked in on what they believe.

The term ‘reality’ is relative. What I mean is this: There are some realities, truths, that are directly related to where you live and the culture in which you exist in. For example: There are some places in which you can go to and have a prolonged conversation with a stranger and other places where a half, sort-of, smile is as good as you can expect. Regardless of the reason, there are some places in which people are friendlier- that is a reality relative to the region. For me ‘reality’ means being honest and honesty, these days is hard to find.

I am a lousy liar therefore I try to avoid speaking when I know telling the truth will not be received well by the hearer.  There are times, however, when I have to ‘keep it real’ which means the words coming out of my mouth may hurt someone’s feelings. 

My ‘keeping it real’ often clashes with a person’s reality. This has become very obvious when it comes to the medical treatments being mandated through out this country and in the world. Most people, my research states 99%, of the people who get this “disease” survive. As a Christian, I hate getting sick but I am confident should I die I will be in a better place. The Christians I speak to do not want to hear what I have to say they quote the government while I quote the Bible. 

If I were to keep it real, and that is what I do on this blog, I would say: A Christians reality should be based on the word of God which is found in Scripture. Unfortunately, many “Christians” have been taught the word of God by man and not by the Spirit of God. Scripture teaches that we are to get understanding as well as knowledge and if we lack wisdom we are to ask God, not the credentialed church leader. (Proverbs 1:2-3, James 1:5, Proverbs 3:5-6) If nothing else common sense should trigger even a non-believer to trust the science but question the scientist. 

I have reached a point in which I can no longer have discussions with people who disagree with me because they become so disagreeable. These individuals become agitated, irritated, angry and very defensive. My words hit a brick wall and there is nothing I can say to penetrate it. All I can do is pray and hope that some day these individuals will stop lying to themselves.

As long as they individuals are going to believe that multi-millionaires, who are making money talking about how poor certain people groups are, actually care about them there is nothing I can say. 

As long as the individuals I talk to would prefer to believe scientist, despite it being proved that he has a financial interest in promoting the ideology he is promoting, is perverting the science to promote a lie. 

As long as Christians avoid church out of fear of getting a disease that Jesus already healed them of and that fear is not from God (2 Timothy 1:7), there is nothing I can say to these people. I expect, and am rarely disappointed, people who do not believe in God to tel themselves the lies that man is preaching. I am disappointed to see so many individuals who refer to themselves as Christian lying to themselves.

A RELIGIOUS RELATIONSHIP

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.                      HEBREWS 11:6 KJV

Ruach HaKodesh, the Spirit of God, is on the move. What exactly does that mean? We serve an ever present, always present, God. He is all knowing, all doing, yet, we do not always see the manifestation of His glory personally. The manifestation of God’s love and mercy is beginning to be revealed to those who have a personal relationship with HIM, in a way many of us have not experienced before. 

Not everyone has a personal relationship with God. Scripture teaches the importance of allowing Jesus to have full authority, Lordship, over one’s life.

JOHN 6:4

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. 

Over the years I have told people that tithes and offerings were not enough. I have cautioned individuals who judge those who do not attend church to not think of themselves more “highly” than they aught to (Romans 12:3) because they attend church every time the doors are open. This dedication to the works of religion: tithes, attendance, serving, reading the Bible in the year and such, are religious activities and not a “go to heaven” pass. 

There are those, I like to think of myself as one, who diligently seek God. We, I, give but not necessarily ten percent or regularly. We, I, serve but not necessarily in church. We, I, may not even be a member of a church but we spend time with God daily and are often found talking to someone about Him. We, I, spend hours meditating on, studying and searching through, Scripture. The word of God is the  life food of those who have a personal relationship with God and it is through His only begotten Son, Jesus.  

When you have a personal relationship with YHWH you are constantly talking to Him, about everything.  You know that He knows your plans for the evening because you understand that He is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. It is the Trinity that works in your life, God has a triune nature, He is God- the Father, the Son AND the Spirit. 

1 JOHN 5:7 KJV

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

1 PETER 1:2

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

It is because of our relationship with Him that we will get rid of those behaviors that do not please Him. Religious people do not consider the fact that God is with them when they are sitting on the toilet. Religious people look for God’s approval when they do something good but think He is not paying attention when they cheat on their taxes. Religious people trust man even if man, the experts, disagree with God. But God will meet you where you are and lead you away from trouble if you keep your eyes on Him and not them.

What we have seen, in the past twelve plus months, is a removal of the veil as it relates to religion and relationship. Many individuals who have are dedicated to their church and their church leaders are now struggling. Although many quote “my God will supply all I need” (Philippians 4:19) they look to the government to provide relief. Religious people confess “Jesus is the healer” yet are anxious to get a shot in the arm to “protect” them from a virus.  Jesus asked and I ask: “Where is YOUR faith?

 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

 Do you have a personal relationship with God through Jesus? Or, do you believe there is a God and His son is Jesus but we live on this earth therefore we have to go bu earthly rules? 

When you have a personal relationship with God the Father through Yeshua Hamashiach, Lord Messiah, you will not worry about other people’s opinions, not even your church leaders. The bottom line: When you face final judgment it is not about what church you were a part of but if He knows your name. What is amazing there are evil spirits that don’t know you exist!

THE ANCESTORS

 

I don’t know if it is biblical but I hear the ancestors calling me. No, they are not demonic spirits! I hear, not audibly but via my remembrance of the lessons they taught.

Leviticus 26:45 King James Version

But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the Lord.

The ancestors, my ancestors, carried the promises of God in their heart and soul. What I remember, what I hear, is the moaning that was done in the church as they prayed and sang to their Creator. What I remember, thus what I hear, is my grandmother telling my brother to recite the 23 Psalm. What I remember, thus what I hear, is my other grandmother praying to God at night to bring her “home”. 

It is the ancestors that motivate me. Even my mother who made sure that before she left this earth I knew who my family was and where I came from. I hear their voices screaming because the next generation is forgetting and we cannot forget.

Deuteronomy 31:25-27 King James Version

25 That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying,

26 Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.

27 For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the Lord; and how much more after my death?

There are legacies and then there are LEGACIES. I come from a people of hard workers, individuals who persevered despite their circumstance, and great faith. They did not subject themselves to the rules and boundaries of man. They, my ancestors, did not do what “they” said but did what they had to do to preserve the legacy that their ancestors had passed on to them. 

What have we done, what have I, passed on to the next generation?

Isaiah 54:13 King James Version

13 And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.  

Our children don’t have peace! They cry out for help. No, they are not asking for help they are searching for help. They are sexually promiscuous looking for that one connection which will make them feel like a whole person. They use drugs and alcohol looking for that euphoric feeling of peace and joy. They yell, they fight, they rebel because they are angry. 

Our American ancestors were angry too. They worked the tobacco and cotton fields motivated by whips and chains. And they sang of a better day when they got to “glory”. Our ancestors did what they had to do and they expressed themselves in song: “Swing low, sweet chariot coming to carry me home..”. 

 I remember sitting on a pew in my grandmother’s church, as a teenager, watching as my grandmother and the other ladies all dressed in white, stepped into the church singing: 

“We're marching to Zion,

Beautiful, beautiful Zion;

We're marching upward to Zion,

The beautiful city of God”

When the ancestors sang it was not about white prejudice but demonic oppressions. (Truth be told there were, and still are, people of all colors that try to slow us down from doing what we need to do.) As I watched the the ladies walk down the aisle to get in their position, as Deaconesses, in their clean white suits, stepping in sync with the beat of the song, in perfect unity with one another, I saw felt these women testifying without words. 

“Ain't gonna let nobody turn me 'round,

turn me 'round, turn me 'round,

Ain't gonna let nobody turn me 'round

I'm gonna keep on a walkin', keep on a-talkin',

Marching up to freedom land.”

My mother drew strength from her mother. As a divorced mother with five children to raise she pressed on. Like her mother she did not let other people’s opinions stop her. Nobody turned my mother around, she did it. She raised five children successfully (If I say so myself), influenced everyone of her grandchildren and a host of other children who had different mothers be blessed with her wisdom. My mother took the words and deeds of the ancestors and passed it on. 

I hear them. I hear the deeds, and words spoken in the past like a boomerang. They were sent into the future to this day October 24, 2021, knowing that I would hear them and catch the mantle. The mantle has been passed forward and I, we must pass it forward to maintain the legacy.

2 Kings 2:13-14 King James Version

13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;

14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

Our, my, ancestors served the future generation by sacrificing personal pleasures. Yes, they had fun but they worked hard first. They left a legacy for all of us to see, a legacy to accept or reject.

The men in my family left tangible things. My father’s grandfather left land which was passed on to his son- my grandfather. I know very little of the properties acquisition history but I do know my grandfather died in 1978, my great grandfather died long before that. This family property still exist.

I write these words in my mother’s father’s house, built in 1975, this house has been in the family for 46 years. My grandfather was not an educated man he was a hard worker and this house was passed on to my mother, who passed it on to my sister. Whatever the circumstances of him being able to purchase it the point is he purchased it and generations later it is still in the family.  

As I come to the conclusion of this writing I believe the words of the ancestors have been released. There is a mantle that we have not taken up that we must pick up in order to continue the legacy.

Faith in God through Jesus and our heritage go hand in hand. Not everyone wants to embrace this concept. Many people are following the words of man, because of his / her title, believing this is what faith is about. NO!  Our ancestors, loved the Lord with all of their heart and soul, they attended church, worked in the church, but trusted God. That was one of the last lessons my mother taught me before she died: Know why YOU believe.

 I have learned to stop myself from saying: “I don’t care”. It seems whenever these three words preface anything I say afterwards they are wrong. The implication being: Whatever I am about to say or do is not the correct behavior or response but I am going to say or do it anyway. I should care, we should all care about what comes out of our mouth and what we do because of the consequences.

Normally I quote the King James Bible, The Voice presents a more succinct interpretation of the KJV: “Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.” Jesus told the Pharisees:

We cancel blessings by not caring what we say, or do.

We are to speak and do God’s will not what we want to do or what man says we should say or do. We cancel blessings because the Word of God reveals His will yet we are determined to do things according to our own will. 

“I don’t care” we declare as we prepare to give someone what we believe he or she should get. Why do we say “I don’t care”? Because we know we should care. Our desire to inflict our will on someone else is greater than our desire to let it go and let God.

When we say: “I don’t care.” We are declaring: I don’t care what the Word of God says, I am going to say, or do, what I want anyway. We purposefully step out of God’s will to do our own will, thus stepping away from the blessings.

We are blessed to be a blessing (Genesis 12:2, 22:17).

Grab a piece of God’s word and release it.  When you walk away from an adversarial event instead of lashing out you win. When you pray for those who hurt you God’s mercy falls on you. It may not look like it in the natural but when you do not give a person “a piece of your mind” you are actually setting him or her up for the consequences of their actions. Your deeds become coals of fire that convict them and the door in which your blessings flow through. Releasing a piece of your mind releases death and curses into your own life.

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

One of the things that plague me daily is the discomfort I feel physically. The Apostle Paul said he had to “press” towards that mark because his body perishes. Lately, there have been many days when I did not want to.

2 CORINTHIANS 4:16 KING JAMES VERSION

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

How can I allow the enemy to bring ungodly spirits on me that stop me from pursuing what God has for me? By: listening to the wrong people, hearing words that are opposite of the Word of God and paying more attention to my flesh than the spirit that is in me. 

ROMANS 10:17 KING JAMES VERSION

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

What I hear will influence what I have faith in. I have shut out most news sources, but, I do listen to news sources that are not found on network or cable television. I hear a lot of people talking about their aches and pains and what their doctors are doing to make things better. I am not surrounded by nor do I interact much with people who trust God with all their heart, soul and body.  My world has become imbalanced with the ways of the world being more prevalent than the ways of YHWH.

JOHN 10:10

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 10:10 has become my 2nd needed verse in the Bible, Matthew 6:33 is my number one (Seek first the kingdom of God…). It is Satan, his demonic forces and those who allow themselves to be influenced by anything and anyone not of God (a.k.a. demonic influenced people) that will lead a person to depression, discouragement, feelings of uselessness, feelings of helplessness, and/ or feelings of loneliness. These emotions are steelers and killers of your motivation to live the life God has promised. 

1 SAMUEL 30:6 KING JAMES VERSION

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

Despite all the good David had done, the people wanted to kill him.  These people felt the need to make him suffer for their personal pain; misery not only loves company but it wants to make someone else feel worst. David turned to Yahovah Eloheem, the Lord God (1 Samuel 301-8).

I have to do what David did, not look at my past successes and have a pity party. I cannot do what the people did, try to make someone feel worst by putting them down, stoning them with negative words.

1 KINGS 19:11-13 KING JAMES VERSION

And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?

How did Elijah overcome discouragement? He wrapped himself in his mantle and came out from where he was, in a cave. He had to leave the noise of the wind, and the earthquake and even the fire in order to hear the whispers of God. 

And God asked: Why are you here? 

Had David not sought the Lord God and given into discouragement he would have been stoned to death.

Had Elijah continued to hide in the cave because he was fearful of Jezebel, he would have starved to death. 

Why am I in this place of discouragement? Why am I focused on my discomfort? Because I have been focused on feelings and opinions. If I continue to listen to people talk about their aches and pains and the drugs they take; if I choose to ride the motorized wheelchair when I am in the store instead of walking; if I allow living alone equate to being lonely, then I will die slowly but surely both physically and emotionally. But Matthew 6:33 is my go to verse thus even in my growing despair I hear that still small voice saying: Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be given to me. I, like David, have to walk away from the voices of discouragement and be still so that I can hear only His voice. 

I remember what my Lord and Saviour did so that I could have an abundant life. I know I am healed because of what is written: 

ISAIAH 53:3-5 KING JAMES VERSION

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Jesus the Son of God endured 39 stripes so that I could be healed. Jesus gave us the victory over physical and emotional hurts. Yeshua, was rejected and despised so that I would not be depressed, discouraged, feel useless, feel hopeless or feel lonely. He who did not sin became sin for me (2 Corinthians 5:21) so that I could receive and live in the blessings of my Creator.  

1 CORINTHIANS 15:57-58 KING JAMES VERSION

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

I am writing this post for myself, I have to remind myself that I have the victory in Him. I have the Word planted in my soul. The Spirit of the Living God is in me and around me. I can be stedfast (persistant), unmoveable (unchanging in my faith in God), always abounding in the work of the Lord (living my life according to His purpose for me).  I am sharing these words with you because I know that I am not the only one.  There are so many people struggling today, so many of God’s children who are fighting and are growing weary but we have to press. The Message Bible (not one I go to often) expresses my thoughts very well: 

PHILIPPIANS 3:12-14 THE MESSAGE BIBLE

12-14 I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back. 

In addition to remembering His promises. God has called me to eat right, live right and exercise. I am 61 not 16 but I want to run like a teenager; God wants me to be a healthy productive 61 year old woman. Getting my body in shape will take time and effort and I cannot let what I cannot do TODAY discourage me from going where my Creator wants me to go. If He says I can, I can; in fact, I can do ALL THINGS in Christ (Philippians 4:13)and I will walk without a cane and run too (Isaiah 40:31).

Finally: I am sharing Ephesians 6 verses 10-18 below but I want to make sure you read verse 13.  The Voice Bible reads as follows: “And this is why you need to be head-to-toe in the full armor of God: so you can resist during these evil days and be fully prepared to hold your ground.” We are in evil days and Satan is killing, stealing and destroying Gods’ children. DISTRACTED

Many are distracted by the cares of this world, myself included. It is easy to get so caught up in the busyness of life that we forget to be still and remember God. 

Mark 4:19

And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

The world is deceptive. We are told to “trust” the science while we hear the scientist. The scientist are manipulating the facts to ensure that the hearer false prey to the fear being woven within the words. The manipulated words of the scientist are  scripted to distracted the hearer from the truth found in God’s word. 

When I hear the “experts” speak I see the hollowness of their souls. The same is true of the television personalities who present “the news”- information the enemy of truth wants you to receive. Can you not see beyond the coordinated tearful words of the paid speaker? No. Most people cannot because they have been programmed to anticipate emotionalism.

Many pulpits inject emotionalism to validate a point. The use of crescendo and decrescendo in the deliverance of a message is prevalent among many preaching churches. Unfortunately, the loud cries heard by the parishioners is not about hell, fire or brimstone but a politically correct idea the church leader is promoting in a series. 

“The lust of other things” such as new phones, family vacations, bigger and better anything but knowledge of God’s way of living is promoted. From the pulpit to political platforms the word of God is being choked and the people are increasing in their suffering.

This nation, the world, has experienced many diseases and none of them have been so prohibitive; not AIDS, West Nile Virus, all of the Flu’s, SARS, and so forth.      The difference is the political platform and the pulpit came into agreement. 

God’s children became consumed by the words of the world. Christians started seeking material things: phones, cars, clothes, even fancy meals. God’s children transferred their trust in the source of their needs supply (Philippians 4:19) to government handouts. As confirmation that the government was more relevant than what ‘they’ had to say, church leaders shut down the doors of God’s house and allowed the television personalities to speak fear into the hearer of Satan’s words. 

There is always good news. There are churches out there who are promoting faith over fear. Their are men who have submitted to sharing the word of God, risking personal freedom. There are women who, like Deborah (Judges 4:4-9), are willing to lead people into the battle. More importantly, there are individuals who refuse to submit to the unconstitutional demands of individuals who do not believe in the Trinity. If you are going to follow the crowd follow those who are following Jesus.

STRONGHOLD ON AMERICA

 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 King James Version

The reality of what is happening in America has been discussed in the Bible. If we look in the natural we will respond naturally- with anger, hate, sadness, depression, joy (?) and such ideological behaviors. 

The physical attributes to the spiritual manifestation of a heavenly battle is not clearly understood by many Believers. 

I have to explain “Believers”. I just Googled the question: How many Christians are in the word today?  According to Google there are 2.5 billion Christians based on 2020 data. I submit to you, prove me wrong, that most of these “Christians” are not Believers of the Bible, but they seem to have a form of godliness…

2 TIMOTHY 3:5 KING JAMES VERSION
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

If you are going to deny aspects of God’s word found in Scripture then you will be ‘denying the power’ found within the Holy Word of God- you re not a Believer. Believers are sold-out, fanatics, Jesus Freaks, individuals who really believe God can do anything!  However, there are Believers do not understand spiritual battles because they were not taught how demonic forces operate indirectly in the lives of people; we are ALL learning. 

HOSEA 4:6 KING JAMES VERSION

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Far to many Believers do not know that they do not know. Many Believers in God through Jesus the Messiah have trusted their church leaders who themselves are ignorant. Please, do not be insulted or defensive; to be ignorant is to not know and we all have some level of ignorance, lack of knowledge. The consequences of our ignorance is why we are in the mess that we are in now.

As Americans we have trusted our government because it was founded on Judeo-Christian values. Unfortunately, because our focus gradually went from seeking God to seeking material things we did not see the serpent ease his way into our midst; we ignored, rejected, the teachings of God’s righteousness for God’s blessings. 

Just like He knew what would happen in the Garden of Eden He knew what would happen to America.

1 CORINTHIANS 10:13 KING JAMES VERSION

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

America is being destroyed but it will not be completely destroyed. Because we have an Intercessor who has already paid the price for our sins. 

ROMANS 8:34 KING JAMES VERSION

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Believers believe 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, 1 Corinthians 10:13 and Romans 8:34. Millions, if not billions of Christians doubt God can turn things around (Hosea 4:6).

It is a stronghold, a grip Satan and his demonic forces have on many people. I tell people: The science may be real but the interpretation of the scientific data by these scientist is flawed.  True science will NEVER disagree with God’s Word. In order to break the stronghold that is within you, you have to believe God’s word is true.

ROMANS 3:4 KING JAMES VERSION

God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

I believe that America is making a comeback now. We are not “building back better” we are making America great again by returning to our Judeo-Christian values. God is not going to allow Satan and his demonic forces to destroy His children. If Satan were to win there would be no one for Jesus to return to come get; there could be no rapture if there are no children of God to rapture. 

That said there will be Christians who get left behind in this wave of blessings that is getting ready to sweep the world. Christians are looking for the “Return of Trump” to save us but God is bringing Trump back as a vessel he can use so that He can save us. Remember: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) Only God can pull down these strongholds that plague the United States of America and the world and He has.

NOT A PART OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY

I do not get offended when people tell me: “You sound White.” I take this as an opportunity to explain - the language I speak is the King James English, the American version. or was I offended when I was told: “You need to turn in your ‘Black Card’; I took it as a compliment. I am not part of nor do I want to be a part of the “Black Community”. DON’T GET MAD…..read on!

There are so many stereotypes associated with being Black and I have no desire to be part of any of them. It is important for the reader to understand that I don’t like being part of those “Christian” stereotypes either. We are all individuals and should be treated as such.

I stopped watching Tyler Perry’s “Madea” series not because I did not like them but because it bothered me that his success was based on a Black person acting a fool. I didn’t like Good Times, or at least the character Jay-Jay, but I watched it regularly because it tried desperately to break some of those stereotypes; Mr Bookman was annoying too! 

I was watching an ad recently, it was a product produced by one of the William’s sisters, it was a seductive ad. Why do Black women have to promote their sexuality in order to achieve…” (Ms. Harris, a woman of color; ALLEGEDLY!) 

Yes! Beyonce’ is a very beautiful woman. I hear young girls and women want to be just like her- not the smart side but the dressing provocative side. SMH!!!

It bothers me that one of my grandsons wants to grow up to be a rapper and not a rocket scientist. Single mothers want their sons to grow up to be professional basketball or football players not corporate executives.

Within the Black Community (NOT ALL) there are women who see having babies as a financial plan. There are churches who will help the women fill out the forms to get subsidized housing, food stamps and even health care while preaching giving your tithes and offerings is the key to receiving from God. In the Black community, women sell the food stamps for cash. In the Black community, women allow others to claim their children on the tax return in exchange for a ‘kickback’. 

In the Black community (NOT ALL) crimes are being committed in broad daylight with not one witness. I can’t be a part of that. 

There are so many ‘things’ associated with the BLACK COMMUNITY that has allowed liberals to justify promoting Critical Race Theory, a bunch of bull shit! Liberals have determined that, based on what they see in the Black Community, Black folks are to ignorant to be anything but comedians, athletes, entertainers. 

For those of us who have left the Black Community and decided to: work hard, ignore ignorant prejudice people, pray for our family who don’t understand why we do what we do, and live our lives with a purpose, we love our brothers and sisters of the same pigment we just cannot be a part of the stereotype. 

NOTE: I know people of other pigments have similar issues.

As they say: The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and getting the same results when you are trying to solve a problem. Many people of color could have remained loyal to the pigmented community and voted for the Black politician, complained about the police, ignored the crimes, enjoyed life smoking dope, and making babies until we died but we knew there was more. We began to do our own research, we began to follow the real successful people- Black people were rich but White people were richer. We went to the seminars, the workshops and read the books. Rich Dad- Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki was a game changer for many people. We began changing the people we associated with, people who were doing what we wanted to do and they became our mentors. We changed because we stopped doing what was not working. 

I did a video discussing my relationship with the African American community (see below). There is a difference between not wanting to be a part of the stereotype and not like people- liberals get this concept twisted regularly.  When I say: “I am not a part of the Black Community.” What I am declaring is: I WILL NOT BE PART OF THE LIBERAL STEREOTYPE OF HOW BLACK PEOPLE SHOULD ACT. A WEAKENED AMERICA

 

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.     1 CORINTHIANS 1:25  KING JAMES VERSION

It is my opinion, the United States of America has lost the respect of every nation both near and far. It is also my opinion that the policies of this current administrative regime has weakened us, both militarily and financially. We have had bad leaders before but never has any President, Vice President and Speaker of the House been, collectively, so corrupt and ill equipped that the sovereignty of the nation was questionable, until January 20, 2021.

It is further my opinion, the United States of America will overcome. My beloved country is under a spiritual attack- has been since its’ inception, but God still has children within its’ borders. It took decades to influence church leaders to be more like the world instead of having the world influenced by the church. Once the church compromised it was easy to get the politicians to ignore their moral obligations. It took time for Satan and his demonic forces to influence a people whose motto is “In God We Trust” to turn their back on the God of their trust.  Despite the degradation of the church and the corruption of the political system America will overcome. 

God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33), or chaos. Many believe the chaos we see is necessary to get to the utopia they seek; it is not referred to as utopia, they speak of justice.  This justice “they” speak of is more like “just us” or just the people who agree with their ideas. Christians who believe in Scripture as it is written, and not as some want it to be, are sentenced to legal purgatory. 

What does legal purgatory look like? It began with taking prayer out of school. It progressed to promoting abortions in low income neighborhoods. It continued by telling parents how to discipline their children and teaching children that if their parents spanked them (not abused) they could report them to the “authorities”. Telling business who they had to do business with and telling churches what they could not preach is when the legal purgatory should have become obvious to all.  Legal purgatory is the ability of a government to enforce hellish rules on its’ citizens.

Today Christians are told they have to call men women and women men. Today parents can change the gender identity of a child but still cannot spank them. In some communities today, it is acceptable for grown men to be in a sexual relationship with boys. Today, people think it is cute for toddlers to dance provocatively. Satan and his demonic forces boldly discuss killing babies at 40 weeks gestation as if it was standard operating procedure. Is this not purgatory, hellish rules? 

To think that what is going on in America is about an immoral perverted White male who resides in a house that represents authority, and the children of God are impotent with no ability to resist, is to not see what is going on in the heavens. God is Alpha and Omega, He established the end in the beginning. He knows what is going on and how He is going to fix it. But we keep getting in His way. 

We knew, should know, that all that is needed on our part is to be humble, repent and ask, instead we keep trying to fix things ourselves. But, now we are tired, worn out, battle weary, weakened. It is written:  

2 Corinthians 12:9 King James Version

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

When a group of people or an individual declares: I cannot win. That is when He  parts the sea; cause a wall to fall; or have 10 thousand able bodied soldiers leave (Deuteronomy 32:30). Because God is able to do what man cannot do.

Yes, America is weakened but God is not. I believe the process for a turn around has been established and now the takeover begins.

QUESTION OF THE DAY #2 DIVORCE

SUNDAY TALK: TRUSTING GOD

WARNING: I HAVE ADJUSTED MY ATTITUDE

 

I posted my first blog on this site January 24, 2016. The theme, at that time, was “Front Porch Stories”. My intention was to share observations about life from a ‘gentle’ biblical perspective. I struggled with this idea and it never really took off.

Over the years I have been writing political stuff, biblical stuff, personal stuff and whatever else my brain came up with. Despite being monetized, ads on this post, I have yet to have received one dollar from Google. True, if people do not click the ad I don’t get paid but I don’t have a huge subscriber base either.

I have to admit my motivation for writing is to stay busy doing what I love and ignoring what I could not change in my life.  I am a writer and I could not write about my unhappy marriage but I could write about other stuff that frustrated me. But now I am divorced, I am living the life I desired and I will still write political stuff, biblical stuff, personal stuff and whatever else my brain comes up with BUT the emphasis will be on THE BIBLE.

This is your warning- I am removing the veil that covered my true beliefs and going full Jesus.

I have to. My gift comes from God and I write better when I am sharing His truths than I do when I am sharing my understanding.

Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.

Therefore, NETTIE-OLOGY will no longer be about “My activities, my words, my thoughts, my ideas” but what: YHWH says about: various activities, words, thoughts, ideas and such. As with many of my post on Facebook, many will be offended, disagree and may even become angry. 

I know that there are people out there who want to learn God’s truth and so this blog will focus on them.  I will present the Scriptures to support what I am writing and advise I advise the reader to pray and search the Scripture to see if I am correct. 

I know there are people out there who like what their Church Leader teaches and will object to the way I teach. What I have learned over the years is this: I always reach one and she usually teaches another. 

The bottom line is this: Young people are dying, babies don’t get the opportunity to live and the leaders of the United States of America are destroying the family which is the foundation of our life here on earth. The church presents God as our buddy and not The Creator, to many Believers see Jesus as a hotel housekeeper that brings us whatever we ask for. To many people see debt, credit cards and mortgage payments, as a blessing and don’t understand why they are struggling. We have all gotten things wrong and it is time to return humble ourselves and return to our Creator.

Nettie-ology is a term I use to let the reader know that the words I share are my understandings. I do not want anyone taking my words and developing their own doctrine out of it.

I have grown in the 5 years since starting this blog and I will grow more as time goes on. If you study the Scripture and not just read the Bible in a year you will change. My desire is to encourage individuals to study Scripture not to accept what I say as an acceptable alternative.

Prove me wrong, as they say. I will say “some” though I have not found the exception to this thought: Black Democrats believe that white people are racist, particularly White Republicans, and it is White Democrats who are telling them who not to trust. The best example of this is President Donald J. Trump, a man whom Democrats loved until he ran for President as a Republican. 

My observation is even more pronounced when you examine Black Christian Democrats who declared Bill Clinton as the “First Black President”. His blatant disrespect for his marriage and the office of the President became apparent when he lied about his sexual behaviors with an intern yet, many ignored it. Whereas, Donald Trumps behavior was not ignored and was counted against him. 

Black Conservatives are called such derogatory terms like ‘coon’. We are told to ‘turn in our Black card’ as if we were no longer aloud to reveal our pigment. Family gatherings are difficult for me because I am most often  one of the few Conservatives in the group; I am seen among quite a few as the lost one. Black Democrats consistently reject anything that comes out of the mouth of a Black Conservative no matter how many references are shared. 

During the time of slavery, not everyone ran away. I would submit there were two camps of thought amongst the slaves: 1) Those who were accepted their life based on the slave owners assessment and 2) Those who wanted to explore other options, even if it meant death. I submit to you, the reader, Conservatives choose option number two. Slaves who chose to runaway risked death, or a life of hell. 

An escaped slave had struggles not experienced by today’s Black people. They no longer had the “luxury” of eating Masters crumbs, they were dependent on the generosity of abolitionist or they lived off the land.  Today, Black Conservatives who were once a part of the Democrat Plantation no longer have the luxury of breaking bread in peace with friends and family- we often go through a period of isolation. There are organizations such as BLEXIT which help former Democrats transition. There are Black Conservative groups out there, yes all men are created equal, unfortunately our pigment leads to stereotypes that must be addressed. Black people who escape the mindset that White Democrats are the only ones who get it right are the modern day #runaway slave. 

What is a slave? A slave is an individual who is bound to a thought, idea, belief, or concept. Most modern day slaves do not see themselves as ‘bound’ to anything or anyone but they are loyal; loyalty that is unyielding, meaning the person refuses to entertain another perspective, is bondage. Many Black people, African-Americans, are loyal to the Democrat Party, they reject anything the Republicans say. A slave is a person bound to an ideology that is detrimental to ones life.

I submit to you, the Democrat Party has been and still is the America’s Plantation. There were White people who were indentured servants but eventually obtained their freedom.  Native Americans were confined to their ‘reservations, today many tribes struggle to recapture their heritage. But, Black people are struggling because a part of their heritage is lost and they struggle to define themselves. The Democrat Party understands this and has been exploiting this for decades, that is what salve owners do- exploit the vulnerable.

There is a familiar prayer that many recite but don’t appreciate, we call it the Serenity Prayer

God, grant me the Serenity To accept the things I cannot change... Courage to change the things I can, And Wisdom to know the difference.

As people of color we cannot change the past but we can change our future. The Democrat Party has been enriched by Black poverty and those who refuse to leave the plantation are in agreement.

FOCUSED: WRITERS WRITE

 I have always written because I am a writer. The first writing that I published was a blog post which is lost in cyberspace and on a computer that crashed and I no longer own; in 2010 I published THE TRUTH ABOUT VASHTAI, I am a published author.  Life has caused me to not release my writings but I have been writing.

I have a YouTube channel, in fact I have two. I guess that makes me a vlogger? I admit, it is easier to post my opinions than to write them- sometimes. I have been doing YouTube videos for 5 years and I have exactly 61 subscribers. 

Neither my writing nor my videos have been about making money- until now. There comes a time in everyone’s life when they have to ‘piss or get off the pot’, as the old folks used to say and I still do! I need to do what I know how to do or get out of the way because there are thousands of people who are doing what I am doing and they could use the space. Living in Miami and being married was my ‘excuse’ for not focusing on doing what I wanted to do.  Now, I am single, I have no excuse not to profit from the gift God has given me. 

What are you not doing? What are you at the age of 60plus still dreaming of doing but still putting off because? Not everyone has to make radical changes to change but if you are not achieving your goals then it is obvious you need to make some life adjustments. 

Many people come to me and say: “I want to be a writer.” My advice to those individuals: “Then write.” If you want to become a published author then you have to be willing to work. Most people do not want to put in the work.

PERSONAL BIBLE STUDY

This is a time in which it is more important than ever that everyone study Scripture for himself. We must personally accept responsibility for teaching our children the true Word of God. The Bible is the Believers manual for living.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV) 

16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 

17  That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 

Every person should own his own Bible. Bibles are given away often, I have personally given away Bibles. A Bible can be purchased for as little as one dollar, plus tax. Though I do not recommend this be an individual’s primary book, the Bible is available as an app on any electronic device for FREE.  People who live in countries in which Bibles are banned have them smuggled in. YouTube has the Bible read, in various versions. I have an audio Bible that I downloaded free of charge.  We are without excuse (Romans 1:20). 

Our relationship with YHWH is through His Son, Yeshua. Yeshua, Jesus, is the Word (John 1:1-3, 14; it is through the Word of God that we know how to live in this world as Believers. 

Many have grown dependent on man to explain Scripture. This was necessary in ancient times when YHWH spoke only to His Priest. Elohim’s plan was always to bring us back to a personal relationship with Him and thus His Word became flesh (John 1:14), it was no longer necessary to go to a Priest. Today we are our own Priest (1 Peter 2:9) which means we are responsible for what is written. We can no longer assume that the speaker of Scripture is interpreting it properly. 

LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN: We can no longer assume that the speaker of Scripture is interpreting it properly.

There are enough examples of false teachings for even an unbeliever know that every one who says he is a Christian is not Christ like. 

2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17 THE VOICE

All of Scripture is God-breathed; in its inspired voice, we hear useful teaching, rebuke, correction, instruction, and training for a life that is right so that God’s people may be up to the task ahead and have all they need to accomplish every good work. 

It becomes evident that Believers are not being taught enough to endure trials and tribulations. Based on the reactions of many in  the past 12 months, it is obvious that the accuracy of what is being taught falls short.  There was panic and fear as well as financial lack among church goers.  The Voice Bible paraphrases 2 Timothy 3:17 more succinctly, declaring Scripture will help God’s people to “be up to the task ahead and have all they need to accomplish every good work”.  

Those who believe in the Word of God know that every solution is within the book. We do not panic because we trust in Him -Mark 4:35-41. We are not afraid because we trust in Him -Psalm 23. We do not fear lack because we trust in Him -1 Samuel 30:19, Philippians 4:19,1 Thessalonians 4:12. 

Struggle is a clear indication that there is something the Believer does not know. We perish because of a lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). As wonderful as your church may be for fellowship, hanging out with other believers is not how you grow in the Word of God. 

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 (KJV) 

11  And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; 

12  That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing. 

2 Timothy 2:14-15 (KJV) 

14  Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. 

15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 

I submit to you, reader, that many of us (I include myself in this) have sat in churches Sunday after Sunday, served in churches and even (at least I have) taught Bible Study / Small Groups weekly and experienced very little growth. Only those people who did not limit themselves to the teachings of their home church and found other ways of studying the Bible grew spiritually. 

Many people believe we cannot know because God is a mystery. ABBA said: 

Isaiah 55:11 (KJV) 

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. 

Much of the mystery is revealed in His Word. It is His Words that we need to study and speak. No, we don’t know how He does everything He does, we don’t have to; we live by faith in His word.  We must study, as the King James Version of the Bible states, to show ourselves approved (2 Timothy 2:15 above). I believe personal Bible study is not optional.

Saturday, February 13, 2021, I posted the following on Facebook: 

WHAT IF:  Christians were as sold out for Jesus as Satan worshipers were for their gods? Those anti-Christ people are extreme in their religious actions. They are bold, do what looks foolish to us but are meaningful to them. 

WHAT IF: Christians were so adamant in what they believed that they awakened each day trying to do those things that pleased God. For example: instead of sacrificing babies, they did all they could to make sure babies lived. For example: instead of promoting same sex unions, they did everything they could to promote families with a man, a woman and child(ren). 

WHAT IF: CHRISTIANS MADE YHWH A PRIORITY IN THEIR LIVES DESPTIE WHAT THEY SEE HAPPENING AROUND THEM AND SIMPLY TRUSTED HIM WITH ALL OF THEIR HEART, MIND AND WILL.

It’s a serious question but I doubt if most of my 4,532 followers will read it. People, Christians like the snarky things I post but rarely read even part of such serious comments that relate to personal faith. I suspect it is because people really do not want to “think” about their faith, they just want to do something and move on.   *Note: As of 03/02/2021 I had 30 comments in agreement and 8 shares that is a less than 0.5% response.

After a year of fear and blind obedience it is time for those who call themselves by His name to think about their faith.

Mark 9:19, 23 (KJV) 

19  He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me. 

23   Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. 

How long, children of God, will He, YHWH, have to deal with your doubting who He is and what He can do? The prophets spoke and said Donald J Trump will win the election and be the President of the United States again. On January 20th, a group of people swore Joseph Biden in as President. You believe man. As of this posting, most people now realize that Donald J Trump did win the election. 

John 10:10 (KJV) 

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 

Within the political arena their are thieves who steal, kill and destroy. It is evident. I suspect, most Democrats know the election was stolen but choose to ignore what is happening because they do not understand how it is going to effect them personally. Conservatives are putting their hopes in the 2022 election and President Trump running again in 2024. THIS IS NOT GOD’S WAY! 

Romans 3:4 (KJV) 

God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. 

I don’t care what it looks like: Donald J Trump is the President of the United States. When Joe Biden took that oath of office with his hand on a Bible acknowledging his personal will in the eyes of God He spoke his own demise. Those who stood in agreement and those who accepted the will of man have essentially turned their back on YHWH.

12  And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.

8  Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.

But nothing happened you think. Nothing happened until Lot was out of Sodom.  Nothing happened until after Noah had built the boat and all of the animals were safely inside. Nothing happened until Joseph had filled the store houses with food to last 7 years. Nothing happened until Mary was of age to give birth to Yeshua. When things were as God wanted them something did happen: the flood, the famine and the birth of our Lord and Savior.

Do you believe: Our Creator sent His Word, which returned to Him having completed His purpose. Yeshua, the Word of God, declared it was finished and His spirit returned to Father God.

20  He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Do you believe in the finished work of “the cross”? Or do you think Satan can do whatever He wants and God cannot do anything about it?

Galatians 2:16 (KJV) 

16  Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. 

Joseph Biden, and even Nancy Pelosi, are going around declaring they are devout Catholics. I suspect, they are giving lots of money to their respective churches, they may even have a Priest that will offer them communion and absolution but God sees their position on abortion and homosexuality. 

Works, your actions, do not move or intimidate the Creator of heaven and earth. And, your “good deeds” based on what the Bible says does not justify you. It is by your faith, what you really believe, that justifies you. 

This entire administration is illegal in the eyes of God. The question is have you accepted it as the reality of life, or are you going to be like Noah and build your boat? Are you going to be like Joseph and stock up food in preparation for the famine? Are you going to prepare your body to be a vessel God can use? What do you really believe?

Your faith is revealed not in the list of things you do but in the things you do that require your faith. It is very difficult for those of us who believe that God will place Donald J Trump in office before 2024 when the world is saying it cannot be done. 

It is harder for those to believe the words of God when the world is revealing the opposite. People believe the “Deep State” is far more powerful than God. People believe the political machine is impossible to penetrate. Christians believe man’s word is greater than God’s word, this is incomprehensible to me.

I live based on what I believe. I do not profess to be perfect, I am corrected by the Spirit often. According to the rules of man Donald J Trump won the election- no miracle is needed to put Trump in office. The Democrats will destroy themselves and the people will demand that our President return to the People’s House. The miracle people will begin seeing, soon, is the wave of God as He begins to bless people who stood on His Word despite the “Super Christians” objections.  

I wrote all of this just to share James 2:14-26. It is an important word for the time.

14  What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 

15  If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

17  Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
