The cost of change goes far beyond dollars and cents. There is an emotional need to be around things familiar. It hurts when people think the new you is offensive: “You lost all that weight and now you to cute to be around me.” Family can be the most discouraging when you want to do something different and there will be those who will remind you of your failures.
We all need to make adjustments in our lives not just on January 1, it is a continuous process. Sometimes we decide to do one thing, like get debt free, but we do what we did not want to do, spend money. What is important is that we realize the set back is not a failure unless we quite.
My faith is the source of my encouragement. My first eBook: MOVING FORWARD BY FAITH describes how I was able to make the necessary adjustments to live victoriously in discouraging times. I do all things through Christ I cannot imagine a life without Him. (Philippians 4:13) Change is not always easy but it is possible.
Matthew 19:26
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
