40 DAYS OF NOT BEING SOCIAL - DAY 2
Do you see what time it is? I work from home and I must punch in at 6pm, that is in 7 and a half hours, less than because I really punch in 10-15 minutes before I am supposed to be available to the clients.
In order for me to be fresh and alert on the job I take a nap during the day. In order for me to be health and get off my “rusty dusty” I go for a walk. These two activities, I have yet to do and they take about an hour and a half to two hours to complete.
I am evaluating how I utilize my time. I have a private tax practice, I sew and at this time I have a client who has given me garments to restore and I have to clean because I cook. In addition, people call me even though I am not calling them- so far this morning I have had 3 incoming calls, zero outgoing and a text message. I need to plan my garden and go to the fabric store to purchase fabric for a project that needs to be done by June. I also need to plan my canning and preserving goals for the year (something I am still learning). But, it is tax season so all of these things are “when I find time” activities.
The truth is my tax work takes up less than 8 hours of my day. Social media interrupts my day thus I do not complete the tasks of the hour. I should have time but I don’t have the time because of the distractions.
Today I completed 2 blog post because I was not on Facebook and I did not have any social calls. I can’t wait to see what I else I can do! - Marsha
