A MISSION TRIP AT HOME

Today I begin a fundraising campaign, my first, to support the prison campus of Miami International Seminary (MINTS). I know quite a few clergy who go into the prisons and share the gospel to the inmates MINTS is the only Seminary in prison that I know of.

ABOUT MINTS (As written on their facebook page): “MINTS International Seminary uses theological education to promote world evangelism. With over 500 study centers around the world MINTS trains local leaders to reach their counties for Christ.
MINTS International Seminary offers degree programs in prisons. Prisoners can earn certificate, associate, bachelor, or master's degrees in theological studies.”

The program is headed by Barry Smith, I met Pastor Barry at a church I once attended and took a class he was teaching there. At the time we had the option of just attending the class as a midweek service or attending as a student, I chose the student option which did cost. As one who has taken numerous classes over the years both in college and Bible schools. I would say Barry was one of the hardest teachers I have ever had- except maybe my English teacher -he does not grade on a curve. I am confident that every person that completes this school has not only learned the truth as it is written in Scripture but is qualified to teach it.
