NETTIE-OLOGY: COMMUNICATION

QUESTION: "Didn't you get my text? "
ME ANSWERING: "No"

I purchased my cell phone so that I could talk to people, if it does not ring I have no way of knowing you are trying to communicate with me. 
My phone does not beep or make any form of noise when you send a text message, messenger on Facebook or any other method of sending me information other than calling me. AND IF I AM BUSY I don't answer the phone- I have caller ID.

I believe the best form of communication is face to face with one person talking and the other person listening. In lieu of in person discussions a telephone or cellular phone is sufficient, however there is the risk of misunderstanding a person because of ones inability to see his eyes. Text messages can be misinterpreted- not everyone knows that all caps is a yelling.
