I saw a YouTube video and decided I wanted to do it! I wanted to write the Bible verse by verse book by book, Scripture Writing. I started writing the Bible May 28, 2025 by writing Psalm 119; I thought if I could write that and like it I would proceed. It took me 10 days to write that one Psalm and I enjoyed doing it.
To start this journey I ordered 4 wide print composition books, I already had a few fine point pens. I also watched a few other YouTube videos and discovered this was a relatively popular thing to do. I was going to officially start by writing the book of Titus next but the Spirit told me to write James, so I did.
What I saw on YouTube were individual who were painstakingly writing Bible verses, some had drawings and such within the pages, many had purchased special journal / notebooks. I do believe most wrote in “biblical” order. My goal was to write the Bible based on the books I enjoyed or felt a need to lean something from. Writing the book of James was not on my list but I am glad it was the first book I wrote. I wrote Titus then Philemon, Philemon because I was concerned about not having enough room in the journal to complete a book. I am currently writing 1 and 2 Peter which will complete Composition book #1.
In the upcoming posts regarding Scripture writing I will share my desire to cover the composition book, what I am learning , which Bible I am using and why as well as a word about commentary
