ARE YOU DYING?

 BIBLE STUDY- PROVERBS #11  PROVERBS 3:1-2

NETTIE-ISM: Adam was there when Eve bit that fruit!  He watched her to see what would happen, not knowing what death was. People today still do not understand death. 

People don’t understand: If they are not Born Again they cannot die because they never live. Man is spirit, soul, and body; t is the spirit within us that keeps us in contact with the Spirit of YHWH. 

In reference to our physical bodies, we are promised long life: 

GENESIS 6:3 KJV 

And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

PSALM 91:16 KJV

With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. 

It is imperative that we know YHWH’s word and keep his precepts. In the world our children are dying a physical death is it because the church is spiritually dead?

PROVERBS 3:1-2 KING JAMES VERSION

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: for length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. 

Children become adults. Many adults are plagued with sickness and disease which takes away from their peace. Proverbs warns the Believer, sons in particular, to not forget YHWH’s laws- some people did not know them to begin with. 

Of course, if you are born you will die but are your dying? 

JAMES 4:8 NEW KING JAMES VERSION

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Proverbs promises a long life and peace if we submit to Him (3:2). James advices us to move towards Him.  As we prepare to enter into a new era of American history it is important that each individual know His word as if their souls dependent upon it because it does. So many Christians today are walking around in fear, they have no peace because they are not submitted to YHWH.

Many people today are walking away from the precepts of YHWH believing GOD will follow them. That is not how it works. We are to follow Him, we are to seek Him.

Adam and Eve kept living, outside the presence of YHWH. In their one act of disobedience they experienced death of the spirit.

ISAIAH 55:6 NEW KING JAMES VERSION

Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.

Again I ask: Are you spiritually dying? 

Seeking Him, is not just going up to the alter, or raising your hand in church. Seeking Him does not end when you get baptized. Seeking Him is a lifetime activity both inside the church building and outside the building. 

PHILIPPIANS 4:5-8 KJV

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
