WHAT ARE OUR SONS LEARNING?

 BIBLE STUDY- PROVERBS #10 PROVERBS 3:1-2

NETTIE-ISM: What are we teaching our sons? If you study Scripture you will discover what a powerful influence mother’s have on their sons, and it is not always good. Boys who have a strong male influences generally do better biblically. 

When there are two parents working together children do better. Jesus was a carpenter, Joseph was a carpenter. Mary saw and kept what she saw in her heart.  (Matthew 13:55, Luke 2:19)

Proverbs 3:1-2 

My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands; for length of days and long life and peace they will add to you.

Whose responsibility is it to teach the men how to be a man? I believe only a male can teach a male about manhood. Women raise good son’s but not great men. Jesus submitted to the will of His Father.

LUKE 2:48-49 KING JAMES VERSION

And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business? 

I find it interesting that when Joseph and Mary found their son in the Temple, Mary reprimanded him but Joseph said nothing to Him. A father understands the bigger picture. 

Proverbs instructs the son to not forget YHWH’s word Who is teaching son’s, male children, the Word of God? 

It seems today, biblical teaching of all children, male and female, are dependent on churches and it is mother’s who are taking their children to church. 

Young boys are being lead by women- married and unmarried. David followed Saul; Samuel submitted to Eli; Joshua sat under Moses and the 12 MALE disciples sat under Jesus. For the most part, I see young men being encouraged by women. 

What are our son’s learning? About as much as our daughters! They are not learning how to submit to GOD!
