One of the things we have to do, particularly when we first develop a plan, is to focus on the purpose and not what “they” say. Everyone has their own life to live and there are days when a person can be in the middle of living and that one person says that one thing that can cause you to lose balance.
I can get frazzled! I get frazzled when I have developed a plan of execution that is doable and some person comes in the middle of my doing and throws a monkey wrench in the middle of everything.
- A favor needs to be done.
- A few dollars need to be borrowed.
- Assistance is needed to do something that is not your business.
You could say “no” but you know that if the situation was reversed you would want that person to help you. You know that you are the only one who can help.
There are two Bible verses that come to mind:
JAMES 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
MATTHEW 7:7When I get frazzled, overwhelmed by the cares of this world, I have to go to YHWH! I ask and keep on asking- nagging! I seek, seek and re-seek. I bang on the prayer floor. And then I do what is asked.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
2 CORINTHIANS 12:9
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
This is what the grace of God is for- getting through those troubling times. His grace allows me to help someone else AND do what I need to do.
It does not matter what I am in the middle of doing, how much money I do or do not have, or even what the deadline is for the project I am working on, I will help. YWHW sends His children to help His children; we are blessed to be a blessing (Genesis 22:17).
Being frazzled is a temporary emotion that can easily be shaken off. It is written: If I ask it will be given to me. I ask for peace and I receive it. GOD IS GOOD!
