MY JOURNEY October 14, 2018 Am I really ready to be blessed?
Currently I am reading the book of Act. (For those who have never read any of my post: I read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation taking as long as it takes, this current journey began in October of 2015!) This morning, however my journey took me to the book of Deuteronomy. Why? Because it is time for me to move forward again and I needed a warning.
I have been going through a lot of crap for quite a while now, some things are the consequences of my own behavior other things the consequences of other peoples decisions and the rest don't make any sense. Almost overnight my life went from praying against attacks to: "What the flip?!" What has been happening lately, just don't make sense- Satan always overplays his hand.
It was earlier this year that I began really editing my fictional book on a Black family and then a non-fiction book on women; then God showed me my next book which would be about people in 'strenuous marriages'. My saying yes to God is a problem to Satan thus it is necessary for his demons to go all out against me.
BELIEVERS HAVE TO KNOW THAT THE CLOSER YOU ARE TO THE TRUTH THE MORE YOU WILL BE ATTACKED BY DEMONIC FORCES.
Many people in my situation would have walked away- walked away from God toward the world. It is a mistake to believe that because God called you the path to your purpose will be smooth. Father God does not give me assignments that glorify me; He will not give you an assignment that will lift you up either. In serving Him there are benefits, even the benefits give Him glory! As limited in number and power as demons are there are things they can do to stop you in your tracks!!!!!
MATTHEW 7:13I have been constantly reminded about the easier path, the wide gate, BUT in my mind I know that as difficult as it is- God's way is better. This year my finances, my family, my health and my purpose have been attacked- everything designed to discourage me. This morning, as I prayed and tried to study the book of acts my mind kept asking ABBA FATHER: "What am I not seeing? "
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
The answer was: "Nothing." There was nothing to be concerned about. This is the process Believers go through; part of the journey. The road is not always easy (John 16:33) but we can travel on it; opportunities, temptations, will come but we have the ability to walk away from them (1 Corinthians 10:13). Scripture tells us to put on our armor and then stand (Ephesians 6:10-18) because if we are carrying out His plans for us He will fight the battle for us (1 Samuel 17:47).
This is when most of us get impatient. We want to do something: give more money to the church, fast, beg God, or take matters into our own hands. This is the time in which we remember what we have gone through to get to this point.
If you have studied the Old Covenant you will recall that frequently the children of Israel were reminded of what they had gone through. Remembering the past has nothing to do with reminding yourself of who to hate. God has brought us all through a lot and if we are not careful we will be back where we were in a far worst situation (Matthew 12:43-45).
DEUTERONOMY 6:1-12 NIV
When the Lord your God brings you into the land he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you—a land with large, flourishing cities you did not build, houses filled with all kinds of good things you did not provide, wells you did not dig, and vineyards and olive groves you did not plant—then when you eat and are satisfied, be careful that you do not forget the Lord, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
I was watching a video of a woman who was injured while serving in the military. Having survived a tragedy she was ready to give up but her earthly father, crying as he spoke (her words), said: The enemy could not kill you, don't kill yourself." After facial reconstruction and learning to walk with a prosthetic leg she is now climbing mountains.
DON'T LET THE PAIN OF THE PAST STOP YOU FROM MOVING INTO YOUR FUTURE.
Today, I received a warning from God: Don't forget who gave you the talent and who brought you out.
Dear Reader,
There are so many troubles in this world, I have no idea what you are going through. I can tell you this one thing: Everyone has a BUT GOD moment and if you allow Him to direct your path you will end up where you should go.
