As I come to the end of my studying the gospels- Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John- I understand how much HOLY FATHER, God, loves us. The plan to help us spend eternity with Him is flawless. People talk about streets made of gold and pearly gates- WHATEVER!!!- I am looking forward to being able to be perfect in His presence.
But, what about Hell? Who is going to hell? God does not send anyone to hell. Let me say this again:
GOD DOES NOT SEND ANYONE TO HELL.
Despite hearing His word, seeing the miracles He performed there were people who chose not to follow Jesus. Think about it: They knew who He was and what He was capable of yet they chose to turn their back on Him.
Very few people today want to follow Jesus. They will do what is popular in terms of religion and convenient in terms of a lifestyle but they will not do what Father God has required of them because it is not what the world today says is "normal".
In my faith journey I have learned that I don't fit anywhere here on earth. I have also discovered that in order to fit I have to ignore Father God wants me to do certain things.
MATTHEW 7:13-14 NKJV
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Sadly, I see many people I know who chose to fit and their lives are a constant struggle. These individuals are constantly trying to get ahead or maintain. They know of God, they know about Jesus yet their actions are directed towards worldly standards. It is easier to support liberal lifestyles than to trust God because you might lose your job. The wide gates of the world is based on a flexible ideology.
I daresay there are some extremes. Some people believe they know exactly what God says and how everyone should exist. I believe each person has their own path which is based on their purpose which is why it does not need to be a wide path.
I don't know who is going to hell because I don't know the end of anyone's life, not even mine. I believe salvation comes through allowing Jesus to be Lord of your life which means you can't live by popular opinion.
There is to much popular opinion coming from the pulpit. written by Marsha L F Randolph
