LIVING YOUR PURPOSE

AVAILABLE @ AMAZON
MY JOURNEY- AUGUST 3, 2018

When I divorced my first husband I realized 2 things: he was not husband material and I was meant to be someone’s wife. Today, after 20 plus years of being married to the same man, I know that I have been able to carryout my purpose as a wife and mother. But, I knew shortly after I remarried that there was more to my life than being a working homemaker.

The more I studied God’s word the more I felt the need to share what I discovered. Writing gave and still gives me a peace of mind that people who are not living their purpose would not understand. When I published my first book, THE TRUTH ABOUT VASHTAI, I knew I had to keep writing even if no one read what I wrote. Writing is about helping people help themselves by developing a perspective.

Everything I do has a lesson within to be shared.

Angry, unhappy people are not living their purpose. I read stories, listen to commentators, hear friends and family complain and explain why there is so much misery on this earth. I also read stories, listen to commentators, hear friends and family celebrate and explain the joy many people have despite circumstances. Those who think outside of themselves live a purposeful life and therefor have peace and joy.

To have a purpose is to have a reason to live. If your philosophy is: “Thee who dies with the most toys wins,” you are not living a purpose-FULL life. Far to many people live extreme lives, participating activities that generate a thrill, every time these people beat death there is an excitement which leads them to do more with greater risk. Accumulating more stuff, jumping off of cliffs, or using drugs are self motivated activities with temporary pleasure but are useless activities.

I know rich people who are unhappy, I know people who are struggling with addictions and I know people who have a lot of things. People turned their back on their purpose.

Purpose became very real to me when I read the chapter one line one of the book THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE by Rick Warren: “It’s not about you.” We have become a self driven society, Americans have a “it’s all about me” mindset (not all) that pushes God out of the way.

Purpose is given by God.

MATTHEW 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Most people’s list of accomplishments is based on activities that gave them pleasure but do not benefit the kingdom of God.

Everything I do inadvertently helps someone because I can write about it. I garden;  I sew, knit and crochet; I make soap, deodorant, laundry detergent and candles; that in addition to writing and having a tax preparation business.  Because I believe we are in the ending of time, I believe it is important for people to know how to have peace and joy while living a simple lifestyle; this is what I try to share in my writing, my YouTube channel and in my conversations with people.

Joy comes from living your God given purpose. Thrills come when you see the joy in the face of someone you just helped. Peace is always present when you are in His presence.  I am living my purpose, are you?                                               - written by Marsha L F Randolph
