MY SALVATION

 MY JOURNEY: DECEMBER 18, 2018 Yes, I believe

I think it is a good thing to not blindly accept what people tell you, particularly when it comes to what you believe. I have written on more than one occasion using a variety of words: ‘religious’ leaders have varying interpretations of YHWH’s word.

There are a lot of men and women of faith whom I respect and trust BUT I still meditate on and search the Scriptures as to the validity of their words.

1 JOHN 4:1
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

There is nothing wrong with questioning the validity of your church leader’s words; you cannot enter heaven based on what your Pastor said. Testing the spirits is simply evaluating what you are being told based on what is written in Scripture. 

PHILIPPIANS 2:12-13
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

I have learned God’s word through classes, preaching, teaching and personal study. I ask YHWH questions (Matthew 7:7). This year I was introduced to the Hebraic Roots Movement, another level of my faith journey.

I don’t agree with all of what some of the speakers found on YouTube, or the few books I have read, have declared to be absolute.  What I believe:

YHWH is the root of all mankind, 

Yeshua is the branch in which of all who desire to have a relationship with GOD 

must be attached to. 

Jesus, Yeshua, is Jewish. He obeyed the commandments of God. Prior to His death, burial and resurrection He taught the will of YHWH. Yeshua taught that in obeying the two you obeyed all.

MATTHEW 22:37-40
Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

For me the measuring stick of what I should and should not do is love.  YHWH has to be my #1 and just as I care about myself I should care about others.

PEOPLE CAN HAVE YOU MAJORING IN THE MINORS!

I believe with all my heart and soul that Yeshua, Jesus, is the only begotten Son of God. I believe Scripture as it is presented in what we refer to as the Bible; I have not studied the other books such as Maccabees. I know that I am a child of GOD therefore I know that I am saved.

There will always be people who think I am wrong, fortunately for me these people cannot send me to hell or keep me out of heaven. In addition to Scripture I have the help of the Spirit of GOD (yes, I speak in a heavenly language).

The same is true for whoever is reading this post. It is important that you attend a place of biblical learning that facilitates personal growth and development. It is important that you search the Scriptures for yourself and ask YHWH for understanding (James 1:5).

We are always growing, always learning, always improving ourselves by doing what pleases ABBA. The key is to put GOD first, many people believe they have but have not. “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”     written by Marsha L F Randolph
