I don’t make promises to myself on January 1st. Whatever adjustments I need are done when I discover the need. Many people make New Years Resolutions that are kept, maybe, for six months.
January 1 is to the weight loss and fitness centers is as Black Friday is to retailers- the day to make lots of money. For about 6 weeks these places are fully staffed to accommodate the people who want to lose weight, get slim and trim or buff; and, in the case of Black Friday, for those who want to buy things that they put off purchasing until December.
Lifestyle changes are a process. It takes about 6 weeks of doing something consistently for it to transition from a habit to a lifestyle. There will always be something to distract you from doing what you told yourself you would do, success comes when you overcome the obstacles.
For the next few days I am going to share a few suggestions of life adjustments, formerly referred to as New Years resolutions people should make- particularly Christians. Don’t get offended by the Nettie-isms!

This is not a how to blog but a "You Can Do" blog. Here I will share my journey as I make quilts, carry-all-bags, and ragdolls. I will also discuss, sewing garments, knitting, crocheting, and soap making as well as gardening and cooking; all of these things I consider myself not a beginner but still a novice. I am a beginner at using the cricket maker.
